  • This phone is wonderful. I never experienced any problems with it.

But DAMN, its the ugliest phone my eyes ever met... xD

  • So they're the ones responsible for this piece of sh*t. After 3 months my keypad peeled off, also it's difficult to get a signal and the earpiece connector only works when it's feeling like it. Jogging whilst listening to it? You must be kidding - you only need to look at the phone and it jumps back to the beginning of the song. Nokia should sack these girls and get proper designers.

  • Take it back where you got it, Nokia will replace the keypad free of charge with one that wont peel. Its a Nokia warranty thing, so they supplier will do it for nothing. Other than the keypad peeling, i love mine.

  • Thanks for the advice evlnr. In the 10 months since I posted my comment I did take my original 5500 sport back to the shop and it was replaced. The keypad and reception problems are solved but the earpiece/data connector is hopeless. In January '08 I got a N95 8Gb which is wonderful, a much better phone (albeit a lot less tough than the 5500).

  • You're too right, mine got peeled after 2 weeks (first time) and after 3 months (second time). Now it's 2.5 years since the last keypad change and it's peeling off again (third time).

This phone is defective by design, should have been better with metal parts pressing rubber. This will seal better than glue IMHO.
