This is a really excellent version of this song. It makes me wonder if she watched her 1979 Cesar's Palace performance to prepare because she does 2 things that are very similar to it: 1) She jokes about some of the unpleasant aspects of the lyrics and 2) she does the riff on the last word "evermore". I love to compare her various live versions of her songs. She's always fascinating, always artistic and inspired.
@yedon68 Just because a person appears very CONFIDENT & has a certain FLARE, so in a way may not appear to be modest, does not mean that you should assume that they are not at all HUMBLE. You see a personna and only part of a person's outter expression. I have a friend who is like Diana in her poise and regalness, and people make that same mistake in judging her. On the inside, she is humble. Humility does not mean you must seem low key or common or down & out..
