Love it!!!! Met Two of the original Tuskegee Airmen ( One of the original group was from my hometown, Carbondale, Illinois.) All I could say was, Thank You! Was a very moving moment.
How do you keep a people down? You 'never' let them 'know' their history.
The 7th Cavalry got their butts in a sling again after the Little Big Horn Massacre, fourteen years later, the day after the Wounded Knee Massacre. If it wasn't for the 9th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers, there would of been a second massacre of the 7th Cavalry. Read, and visit site/great history, rescue at pine ridge. com
The Tuskegee Airmen and their legacy and it's contribution to history is part of what makes me proud to be an American. Thank God we had so many outstanding men in one place at the same time during WW2.
The Mustang, what a beauty. As for the Tuskegee airmen, I can't imagine what kind of courage and resilience was required when having to face both your enemies in the air and bitter prejudice from your own countrymen.
and they said black people were inferior... this is probably the biggest slap to the faces of people who believed it was a waste of time to have minorities fight for their country.
