This is so cute and reminds me of my very first golden retriever (I have had two and plan to get a puppy this summer) and his 'sister' a Keeshond/Collie mix when they played...on the water bed!! It was so funny so see them mouthing each other, grabbing a toy, pawing at each other and having a grand old time. I am surprised my dogs didn't puncture the bed with their rough-housing, but I didn't stop them because it was just too darned hilarious! I miss their antics. You have beautiful dogs!

I have noticed you have videos with two of this stud's daughters. If this pup was used as a fee, I suspect an inward breeding plan is abound. Is this healthy practice for purebreeds?

@jenlinc2006 Breeders often like to own a lot of dogs from a particular individual dog that they bred and turned out really well, like this stud for instance. It does not mean she plans to breed them to each other. Most breeders who are reputable and have a smaller number of dogs don't breed their own dogs to each other. They seek out great individuals from other programs to improve their dogs.

You did it right! Get a new puppy as your older dog is getting on in years. That way the older dog teaches the new dog the ropes, how to behave, etc., and the new dog keeps the old dog active when he's trying to slow down more. That's the way I did it with my first two Goldens and it worked great. I'm on my third now.
