I saw the first one a while back. Don't really remember everything in the story other than it being a semi descent movie. Alls i know is Hellboy is a demon spawn who was taken in by the U.S. army/marines during WWII. I remember his horns growing in the first movie but not sure why or what they did. First movie was passable, barely. Idk how this one faired cuz i haven't seen it yet.

Excuse me? It's not a new director - it's still Guillermo Del Toro. He has always been a massive fan of the Hellboy series and thats why he did the two movies with him and Mike Mignola writing and him directing. Not sure where you are getting your information from, but its wrong, I can tell you that much.
