@TheBognasty Chelsea had an awesome following, got over 50000 for some Div 2 games and took 10000 away to Sunderland. Don't forget 4 of the top 10 attendances in English league history were at Stamford Bridge, the highest being 82,905 v Arsenal, great club with great fans.
@runtinsweet ..and lets not forget the massive 10,000 attendance at stamford bridge v man city 1993 i think it was? on a cold november mid-week evening, webb was the manager. . tut tut!
@trippy119 It happens but we have the 5th highest all time average attendance, the facts speak for themselves. 20000 at Highbury in our first game back in Div 1, 12000 at Brighton, 10000 at Maine Road on a Tuesday night.
nobody ran anywhere, chelsea came off tube from another platform, tooled up. as luck had it platform was being painted and there was a load of scaffolding, you got as good as you gave altho we were out numbered. they are the facts from the first leeds to get in to you. respect to your boys who were there, and a few weeks later on doncaster station, when there was just 3 of us, it would have been the easiest thing to kick the fuck out of us, but let us live to fight another day.
trippy119. You must be getting your opponents or ground mixed up. We never got on the pitch at Elland Road in the early 80's although we had big away followings up there in 82/83 and 83/84. We were however on the pitch in both home games against Leeds, this game and the following years promotion celebration. Leeds fans aren't even featured in this video and a lot of the arrests were at Picadilly tube where Leeds got chased down onto the platforms..
@chelseacharger Went to all Leeds Chelsea games in the 80s -& Leeds despite been split into two groups by OB more than held their own on platform 4 at picadilly in 82 - As you say it's Chelsea on the pitch at the end fighting with OB and also in 84 when you charged our end -The scoreboard and crumbling terraces were taken apart by us to use as ammo back .Your best mob at ours IMO was 84 you had good numbers in our Lowfields seats and before hand a good mob walked to ER from a pub in Pudsey
@steakandsid Yep and respect for putting it right. Was at all the games too and each time on the Lowfields paddock. Both mobs we can safely say had a fair number of NF followers and one memory was of the Service Crew behind the goal giving a nazi salute at us whereupon one of our lot climbed up on a crush barrier and he had a Hitler mask on. Was not into all that political stuff myself but everyone had a laugh at that. Batesys book detailing 83/84 has a photo of the two mobs fronting up.
@chelseacharger -Yeah i remember the chants of - "Where's your famous fasict fans? " - truth is most would do the nazi salute but wouldn't even vote come an election day up our way,and if they did it was Labour - Uncle Ken wanted Electric fences after 84 if i remember right - would love to see some of the pics
@steakandsid It was another pitch invasion and riot against Sunderland in a league cup semi in '85 that prompted the electric fence. It was actually a single wire above the fence, spikes and three strands of barbed wire but it never got switched on. Useless anyway when the mob just kicked the gates out to get at Middlesbrough in more aggro that got our terraces closed a few years later. Ere, hurry on back to the prem, We miss that old and quite unique rivalry with you lot.
standupEFC@ man city respect leeds, tottenham respect leeds, as do portsmouth, the bristol firms etc why do you think were the most hated club in england?? everton have got a good firm too so grow up and stop talking shit
You're clueless, roundabout 1982 (3-3) we (Chelsea) ran the whole lot over the pitch at Elland Road stopping the game. No resistance at all, embarrassing.
Tricky. Lying twat no fans have ever ran on the pitch to have a go with the leeds fans. There were fencing all around the pitch in the early 80s has well you thick chelsea scum.
I'll tell you wahat GRAZIER - If i'm lieing i'm an asshole, if i'm telling the truth you're the asshole who knows nothing and wasn't there :thumb. Service crew, HA HA HA, what a joke.
Hahaha those were the days, only wish I had been alive and up and running. God what i would give to have a ruck up a game with the scum of north London.
this is so fucking stupid. The thing should be the sport, not beating up other teams fans, 'cause that doesen't take you anywhere, except prison.

Leeds hooligans created the infamous F-Side in Holland from AFC Ajax, because Ajax defeated them in 1976.
