  • bill gay use's long sticks

  • @alexisby hahaha

  • I like the Civil War era cars in the background!

  • Very gay indeed.

  • @LegallyMoi It is very clear that you have neither the credentials nor the intelligence to make an accredited or useful judgment here, simply because you have displayed neither. Further, your petty and belittling comments makes this point self-evident. Please consider this the next time you choose to comment on this or any video, as to avoid embarrassing yourself.

  • @MrBobrothman1789 Well said.

  • He butchered United States it am de Place.

  • As someone who has a Ph.D. in performance practices in popular music in America at this time, let me say that this interpretation is perfectly acceptable and period appropriate. To say this is a butchered version is to indicate a lack of knowledge on the subject.

  • I'm not the idiot you are.

  • Clearly! If, however, you cannot look up the original source on your own, you might be able to pick up the lyrics from this version. Signed "The Idiot' (Ph.D.. Musicology).

  • @pippabill I agree with both of you guys it is a period appropriate interpretation, but obviously LegallyMoi must have heard a different version. He should not have called you an idiot though. This guy does make it easier to hear the lyrics.

  • This man introducing Mr. Gay is none other than the incomparable George Wunderlich, I do believe!! Nice to see you, George!

  • very Gay indeed.

  • Bill,

If you read this, contact me through The Modbeats page at my space.

  • Bill's always had an interest in historical music, and has certainly become an acomplished historical music performer.

I played with him back in the '80s in a Mod revival band called The Modbeats, and he had an eye, and ear, for authenticity in that project, too.

I'm glad to see him still performing, and would like to know what ever happened to his minstrel group?
