The atmosphere of this meeting is dominated by religiously-minded middle-aged men in suits with food on their plates. Sierra Leone needs a Minister of Culture with the strategic aim of building the inclusive culture that British racist colonialism explicitly rejected, which post-independence governments have also failed to identify as a crucial political priority.
I'd like to have seen a reggae band at the end of the meeting.
There is only one A.P.C. Hate it or love it, you will never find another political party that can unite a nation like A.P.C. did in Sierra Leone.
We did some bad things but also we accomplished many wonderful things that even our colonial masters were unable to do.
So lets us forget the past as we cannot alter it, but let us focus on the future which lies ahead of us. Let us unite as a nation and work towards bettering our beloved motherland.
