  • @Iman290

    cool story bro :))))))

  • 1. Clutch in Completely

    2. Break Pedal in Completely

    3. 'Don't let out the Clutch at all,' and quickly give it gas, like wolverine said in the video, you need more gas than usual to overcome gravity

    4. Then let out the clutch to the friction point until its out all the way and proceed

This will cause rollback of 3-4 inches for first timers, and sometimes tire spin yet minimal. With practice it will work every time with no e-brake necessary.

  • Shave!!

  • more like Liev Schreiber

  • nice beard, asshole

  • @L0nghornfan25 THANK YOU SIR

  • 3:44 is when he starts doing it after the explanation.

  • dude... quite a bit of gas.. i did that and burned out >.> then again i got a V8 nice tut anyway

  • @xmodrock I gave it quite a bit of gas and "burned out" in a 4cylinder Jeep.

  • @midgetmayo never driven a 4-banger manual but its true.. you give it quite a bit of gas and your burning or spinning tire

  • Hey, it's the guy from x-men.

  • lol 98 percent of the comments on here are about his beard... i think he could just bullshit this and people wouldnt know.

  • Video should be called "Showing off my beard"

  • My parents always made it seem like a stick shift was crazy hard to drive. I have yet to even drive an automatic it is just common sense to drive a stick

  • @36orBust ...............WHERE??????

  • ur sexy!!!

  • scion xD?

  • @UntouchableTAK Yup, 2008

  • "dont be afriad to give it gas"...this is not true. DONT give the car too much gas because you will prematurely burn out your clutch. You should never be taking off at more than 1.5k on a flat plane, and no more than 2k on a super steep hill. "clutch is cheaper than tranny" yes that is true, but why replace either? A clutch swap is like 600+ with labor and all....

  • @wrx0131 Yes and no. There are times you do have to give it a lot of gas, especially if you drive in cities such as Seattle and San Francisco. However, I do agree with that ridiculous amount of rev used. You should practice easing out your clutch pedal before the rev gets that high. No more than 1.5k is necessary to get up a steep hill, not even with the 1.5L engine in my xB. Instead, DON'T BE AFRAID TO STALL IT. Stalling is a fact of life, even experienced driver does it once a while

  • @chunkyazian yup, i would rater stall than burn my clutch

  • @chunkyazian

but stalling in traffic is dangerous......................got 60k on the clutch right now, no problems

    everyone does it different

  • @Goody1231979

147k on my clutch here. I used to do it your way until I smell clutch.

  • I revel in the fact at how hard the Internet makes it seem to drive a manual car! I was scared shitless after I first purchased my 07 Mazda3 sport. Come to find out it makes more sense while you can just get in the manual car and try it. I have never used the e-brake on a hill. You can feel it when your riding the clutch it kind of grinds as long as you stay away from doing that probably alright. Multi-tasking at it's finest!

  • @CalmAssMizPrezidant i agree, was for a friend who lived in another state.......standard is much easier than people make it out to be

  • Wolverine drives a manual.

  • 4:40 Motherfucker... haha Thanx bud vid helped out a bunch.

  • nothing to do with the video...but your beard is epic

  • your beard looks fucking ridiculous.

  • I haven't drove manual in about 2 months. I mean like driving everyday, and a Civic clutch sucks because its just so soft since I haven't drove for that long and I'm used to driving a hard clutch like a 240SX.

  • Dude, with that beard you look like a ape :D

  • yur beard funny :L

  • wait wait so you can put the e brake in so u dont go backwards but u can do ur shiftin into first without rolling back at all then when you ar eover the hill and going take the e brake off?

  • @2k5superstock

you take the ebrake off as soon as the car starts moving

    hope that helped

  • @Goody1231979 Yea thats cool dumb question but when you go around turns do you in on clutch and brake then let off clutch and break and just gas? and if im following sum one on the highway and they are going slow but im going to stay behind them cluth brake then off clutch then just gas or wht.

  • @2k5superstock if im reading it right.........you dont need to clutch in to press the brake, if your in the right gear, just press the brake to slow down, then gas, no need to be pressing the clutch so much

  • @2k5superstock i dnt use the handbrake and never have, i just quickly move over to the gas after letting off the foot brake while letting the clutch out some, its easier to show you, but the ebrake method is good as well.

  • great vid man. Hardest part for me is getting in my garage which is the top of a very very steep hill.

  • @TheYoitsame Thanks, you get the hang of it, soon enough it will become second nature to ya.

    Cheers

  • Nice chops lol

  • @Demicron JUST FOR YOU
