@Honeysmile13 That's the theme of the whole game series, Ishimura was not a military ship but it was full of power tools and well... they just happen to cut flesh just as good as they cut solid rock. Dead Space 1 had only one military weapon, the Pulse rifle. DS2 has two more: the Seeker rifle and the Detonator.

i finished Zealot mode with no DLC weapon packs, i just did it and finished, but that immortal necromorph really gets on my nervs, and im not really planning to do hardcore, but i will try one day

I have couple questions

-I have all the DLC except the supernova pack, should I get that too? I want some good weapons and was wondering if I was really missing out at all.

-What four weapons would you recommend for a hardcore or zealot playthrough?

- You won't miss any important content if you don't buy that pack. The bonuses DLC offer are pretty mediocre (E.g. 5% DMG bonus for a gun that does 100 DMG tops) EXCEPT for the 15 slot inventory. Any of the DLC suits offer this bonus so it's purely an aesthetic choice.

- Personally I wouldn't recommend four weapons. As you can see on my channel I did a hardcore walkthrough with just one weapon at a time. Usually I switch to Seeker rifle at chapter 6 or to Force gun at chapter 7.

@gamerdan321 Definitely. The bonuses they offer are quite small, but they are available at the first shop instead of half-way through the game like ordinary Seeker rifle (Ch.6) and Force gun (Ch.7).

The best weapon and if it is upgrated in DS 2 is the force gun,its ammo is cheap and packs quite a punch even in high difficulties like Hard Core or Zealot.

@Mitts123450 - Tell that to the all the necromorphs I roasted XD. Its a great weapon when used against the pack and stopping necros on the charge. When fully upgraded is incredibly powerful against other necros even in Zealot difficulty. The flamethrower along with the Pulse Rifle are the most underestimated weapons of the game. I can tell you personally. I survived 2 playthroughs in Zealot Difficulty with both weapons in my inventory and I'm already playing on my 3rd playthrough.

@020stevenleu The very first batch of ammo for it in the game is found near a dead security officer and there is an Earthgov version of it, so it's most certainly a military weapon.

Hand Cannon? Oh, well, I guess it makes sense to keep it out as it is essentially the best gun in the game and it's stats might as well say "Overpowered" "Infinite", "Fast", and "Different Sound Effect"
