  • i was there!

  • Unlike the other late period ballads from Jerry, this one gives me a sense of hope and change instead of that feeling of Jerry saying good-bye. A love song for the ages.

  • "All the others I let pass by, I only wanted you

Never cared much for careless love, oh how your bright eyes glowed"

Jer, you are tearing my heart out...

  • oh how your bright eyes glow......epic

  • Also love the late era Standing on the Moon and Black Muddy River. Something going on with rivers and roads. I like it.

  • Who said nothing good came out of late era Dead? Fools.

  • love this song. Great vibe. good feelings wish i was there

  • they plyed this is the second to last show in chicago this tempo is slower and its really nice the lyrics can all be understood..... so beautiful ty jerry even when you are gone i still walk with a lil jerry in my stride daily.....try it , it makes life less stressful

  • This song is so sweet.

  • Thank you Jerry

  • It's a shame Lazy River Road and So Many Roads were never recorded in the studio and released. They are both masterpieces. Thanks for posting this version, I am truly Grateful

  • One of Jerry's finest tunes from that time!!! There's something so hauntingly beautiful about the melody of this tune! Miss him a whole lot! PEACE!

  • Thanks for posting. Great show. I had tickets to the second night, thankfully. Miss those days.

  • A last blast from hunter - garcia!!!! There will never, ever, be another collaboration like this......(of course hunter's still 'round)...kinda sad, man

  • Never appreciate this tune in the 90's, now I love it......

  • awesome 90's dead tune.....miss those carefree days!!!!

  • These late period/end of the road Jerry/Hunter songs were as good as any they ever wrote. Wonderful.

  • Damn if I know hunter...but I'd say this one's in florida, maybe north florida...shadowfall ward...on my way to new orleans on rt 10.....yep, somewhere near live oak or tallahassee

  • This was my first show when I was 16 years old. Been on the Bus ever since!!

  • My kid was at this blizzard show, too. He was about 18 at the time and his 5 hour return trip home took 3 days. Musta been some show.

  • The famous BLIZZARD show in Richfield, Ohio. That old box is now a forest:)))

  • Thqanks for posting, I appreciate it. I've never heard about this tune, but than I found it here. What a beautiful lyrics, especially the last part. God how I miss Jerry and the boys...

  • I really miss Jerry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These songsmake my sould cry out!

  • randy950 totaly agree with you never really felt this song at the time they played it...but now it gives me chills when i hear it

  • Didn't appreciate this one the first time I heard it but man has it grown on me since. This is really one of Hunter's finest lyrics, works on many levels. "Never cared for careless love, but how your bright eyes glow..." Miss you Jer.

  • Thanks for posting this video. This is a great song. I really miss Jerry. I didn't see this show, so it was a real treat to watch.

  • I always liked this tune. This was a nice night. Thanks Jerry.

  • I saw 3 Lazy river rds . My favourite was in Chicago in the summer of 94 , Saturday july 23 . Those were some of the greatest days of our lives Thanks for posting this amazing clip Would you by any chance have July 21 94 Deer creek Madabox , to post ? That was my 1st show ; and a really fun night

  • Bob Weir co-wrote "Haze" with Essra Mohawk. In addition to the landmark Primordial Lovers, she is known for her vocals on the School House Rock videos & for writing Cyndi Lauper's "Change of Heart."

  • Very nicely done. I didn't really understand the Dead until it was too late, so videos like this are the best I can do. One of my favorite late-era songs, so beautiful...

  • Thank u so much for creating this little time machine.

Nice to feel as if they're still with us, even if it's only for 7:19.

    Hope you're somewhere happy, Jerry.

    Snfl...

  • Great post. Thanks a lot.I needed to hear that song today. Where is this from?

  • Best band ever, sure never had Beatle or Stones hits but touched more people personally or LIVE. Dead had a brief interuption in touring between a few albums, my 2 favorites BLUES AND MARS but they really played straight from the Mid 60's till 1995 the only stops were purly medical(besides 70's 1 year hiatus) They toured to the point of exaustion, for the fans, they really loved the fans. Great Band, The Best!!

  • They were not the best at what they did, they were the only ones that did what they did!!!

  • tears to my eyes

    beautiful

  • nothing will ever touch a grateful dead show . and that hurts. but at the same time im grateful to have done it. kids these dayz have nobody that can pick n story tell like JERRY GARCIA

  • you're right on.....

  • tears
