bwahahaha, butthurt creatard. All movies use creative license and they have to be entertaining or nobody will watch. And you quoting Pat Robertson makes it perfectly acceptable to add that fictional preacher to the movie to show exactly how some religious nutbars behave. The movie is not meant to be a documentary, and its meant to appeal to the mood of the entire country, not just some backwater state.
Christians are lampooned? How is that possible if they are in communication with the creator of the universe? Shouldn't the truth of their claims be so clear as to preclude any possibility of ridicule? I mean, their claims are based on knowledge provided by a perfect being and therefore communicated in the most perfect possible way, right?
"Just like what Nazi Germany did to the Jews, so liberal America is now doing to the evangelical Christians. It's no different. It is the same thing. It is happening all over again. It is the Democratic Congress, the liberal-based media, & the homosexuals who want to destroy the Christians. Wholesale abuse and discrimination and the worst bigotry directed toward any group in America today. More terrible than anything suffered by any minority in history."
Great video. Byron was one of the greatest political figures of the the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He proposed many of the progressive ideas that were later adopted by Roosevelt and Wilson. The rights of of workers and common people were foremost in his policies. He was known as the great commoner.
He championed the Tenn law not because he wanted to have the Bible interpeted literally but because many people were applying a social darwinism approach to the ordering of society.
William Jennings Bryan failed at the Scopes Trial simply because he didn't know the reasonable answers that creation scientists & apologists have today. The argument is not over, & please don't use that "failure" back then as an excuse 2 NOT listen 2 the Creation side after all, especially if u're going 2 be continuously & maliciously thirsty for answers, which HAVE diligently been answered for u, for YEARS.
It is utter falsehood to proclaim, think, or declare that creationists are "ignorant", and don't read Darwin. Are u kidding or lying or what? W. J. Bryan read Origin of Species 20 years before the trial. And Dr. Hovind has shown the book NUMEROUS times in his seminars. Hes read it, he's understood it, & he's repeatedly shown it in his slides.
