On the line, "....salty air. I've always played a D note on the word "air"(I play it in C also), but I notice Patti Page sings an "F" note on the word "air". I guess I'll have to check out my fakebook. I'm confused. I like the D note rather than the F note, but that's just me. Nice arrangement. Guitar has a super tone.

What a great sound, and what memories this brings back for me, this tune. I saw Chet Atkins, back in the 60's, and he played dring a set. I'm 66, and I still love this music. I love The Beatles too, but probably because my last name is McCartney. :) Would love to know what guitar that is; I tried to read the name on the head stock, but can't quite make it out. Thanks a zillion! :D))

Ik begrijp dat je nooit voor publiek speelt, maar misschien een keer een uitzondering? Bij een wijnproeverij, bijvoorbeeld. Zou heel erg leuk zijn.

I first heard this song as a sample of a cover on a Groove Armada Remix. Later to find out they had a slower version called At the River. I fell in love with the song.

Some 5 years later while watching a documentary on TV I heard a track in the background with familiar lyrics - but a much older sound, I discovered the original artist being Patti Page. Recorded half a century ago it is one of the most pleasant things to hit my ears.

The Kees version with the extra Jazz is fantastic. Great work
