  • I'm surprised that your vids don't got more views! :O

  • @LumenProxy You know... it really depends on them showing up on a blog, or YouTube putting it on the front page. I have a few that went over 150,000, but I think I really just don't have enough kittens. :^D

  • @StefanGBucher Whatever! ;3

Just keep up the good work you really are an inspiration! :')

(And yes, draw m0ar kittens! ^_^)

  • oh man i wannt pics where i have fear like a monster pic your pics make me laugh because they look funny

  • @Speed1Killer1 I'm glad they make you laugh, Speed1Killer1. Thank you for the compliment. :^)

  • these are great man - it would great to see you paint back into them with white paint i havent watched all of them so maybe you do that - but great work man really

  • @AdamEarle77 Thank you for the compliment, Adam. On a few Monsters I use WiteOut, but as a point of pride I do it only very rarely.

  • @AdamEarle77 Hi Adam, please forgive the slow response. I do have a few in there where I go in with WiteOut, but I try to stay honest and find a way to integrate my mistakes. But I also haven't considered using the white as a thing to build instead of a tool to repair.

  • Is that a school logo?

  • @TheDurzoBlint It's the logo of the Minnesota Twins, the TC standing for Twin Cities (Minneapolis / St. Paul). It seemed appropriate. :^)

  • reminded me of peacock feathers.

  • @bigbellii Oh yeah! I can see that. :^)

  • I love your works! I've tried it myself too but my paint is not reacting as your... So could you tell me what kind of paint you use?? Thank you!

  • @gabetherawen Thank you for the cmpliment, Gabe. I'm glad you like the drawings. I use Faber-Castell PITT artist pens, Prismacolor Premier pens, Staedtler pigment liners, Tombow ABT pens, Sharpies (fine point and wedge tip), and Yasutomo Sumi ink on regular old uncoated bond paper. The main thing is usng ink (and a can of pressurized air.)

  • It's 'The Twins'! And their favorite thing to do is finish each other's -skirmishes. Their favorite phrase is 'Totally Cool' which is the 'TC' On their shirt, and they go to...Terry Cloth high, since all of the monsters don't need pants. Ahahah. I've been meaning to ask, what type of drawing utensils do you use? I've seen the sharpies and stuff, and recently when I went to the craft store I noticed .1 mm needles, that's just nuts, insanely fine detail.

  • Fine work once again, ChaosP3ngu1n. I like it! And to answer your question: I use Faber-Castell PITT artist pens, Prismacolor Premier pens, Staedtler pigment liners, Tombow ABT pens, Sharpies (fine point and wedge tip), Prismacolor Premier markers, and Yasutomo Sumi ink on regular old uncoated bond paper.

As for 0.1mm pens... pff! Real detail doesn't start until you're using a 0.005 pen. Staedtler makes 'em. Or you can use a 0.1 that's a bit dry. Thta makes a nice line, too. :^)

  • Ho-ho! Then I suppose it's time for me to break out these real detail pens! It's odd though, sometimes I have the image in my head, and everything looks perfect, to the finest detail, but when my hand touches the canvas, it turns to crap. I get aggravated sometimes, but I keep on going =D. I've been watching these videos for a while, I've just never had anything to say, and now that I do i'd like to say thanks, for being awesome, and a roundabout inspiration to me =D. And for the advice.

  • Thank you for the kind words, ChaosP3ngu1n. That feeling is well known to me, and one of the major reasons for the Monsters. Drawing them this way removes the need for a plan. I just start working and discover the characters as I go along. There is no painful discrepancy between the image in my head and what appears on the paper before me.

  • Hmm, I honestly never thought of it that way. Thanks for the enlightenment :). I now look to the canvas with even wider eyes than before.

  • i would've made a goth wolf thing out of the hair at the beginning, but the difference is that i wouldve screwed it up big time XD ur awesome

  • Thank you, thevilkitty616. I bet your monster would've been really cool, too! Can you sketch it out and post it?

  • Thank you, technochook. It's a fun technique, isn't it? :^)

  • yeh :)

  • Please forgive me for the huge, HUGE delay, movielover172: I use a duster can from the office supply store to blow on a drop of ink.

  • #49:

    Species: Hairy Goalpost

    Name: BJ

Story: BJ stands for "Bob and Joe". Like all Hairy Goalposts, BJ is a goalpost for a monster college football team. BJ is the goalpost for the Chicago Terribles. The Terribles always aim a little to the left (or right) and for some reason the ball lights on fire. Ouch. So why are they smiling?

  • did it get a charles tyrwhitt shirt?

  • Ha! I like that! Yes, I think you're right, xxx2591.

  • Finally! a double-headed monster! :D It looks so awesome!

  • Cojonudo!

    I love it!
