Michael Cera has ADHD written all over him. I have the same deal. When you're off your meds and riddled with ADD, all someone has to say to you is "be yourself." You're like, "what?" Thankfully, Seth Rogen has clearly taught him that ad libbing is okay. Cera is a perfect example that reading lines doesn't make you an actor. Having ADHD means you get the character more than anyone else, but memorizing a script? yeah.... I appreciate that Cera's and Denning's lines never seem forced.

I don't get Michael Cera's appeal. Honestly. He's the same in real life as every character he plays. How does that make him a good actor? I do however get Kat Dennings' appeal. She's gorgeous and a good actor.

As for Mike, correct me if I'm wrong, and maybe you're not a fan of this guy either, but isn't Al Pacino the same in every movie? The guy is like the number 2 or 3 actor ever. Not saying Cera is in that league, but playing the same sort of role for the first couple of movies isn't a crime, if you're good at the part. I think they both can have a SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE moment. They have chemistry.

He does do a good job of getting himself into the emotions of the character and portaying them but I can see what you mean. The writers most likely cast him as those characters BECAUSE hes so much like them.
