Well, uh, genius. That's what I used for so many of my videos. Fraps is no problem to use if it's registered, since its quality is pretty much the same (with compression so much damn better), and I just wanted to make a quick video so I simply tapped a few buttons for recording. Source recorder is only necessary for mass physics and shit like that.

No... They are always in 16:10 and the videos always have small black bars to the sides.

that's because youtube interprets them like 3:4 even if its in 16:10 i know i had that problem too

Mine is 16:10 too, but I recorded in window mode in order to record with 16:9 and have HD quality on Youtube.
