i performed this peice for Pa's District 5 Honors Choir about a month ago... we sounded very similar to this choir... the only difference is the numbers of the choirs! BRAVISSIMO!

I love this song!!! From 2010 All VA chorus, Stroope made us go a little slower, but I love your guy's sound. We had maybe half of this choir, but nonetheless still beautiful. Amazing song :)

Love Randall stroope! The dynamics and interpretation were BREATHTAKING! I only thing the vowels could have been a little more open... Words like candle needed to be more like CAWNDLE. But still beautiful! My a capella group tried to do this but it wasn't ready so we had to drop it :p

I love how everyone is wearing gowns that represent their schools! I wish Arizona All-State did that. It just goes to show that united as one you can make a glorious sound. I just found out today that I made Arizona All-State and i hope we can sound just as good as you guys are. This choirs sounds fabulous!

Don't beat yourselves up for not sounding "perfect" ... this is one of his hardest pieces to tune. That sustained E for sop2's in the middle is wicked. You're in highschool, you did a pretty damn awesome job if you ask me. I saw the AC performance - you were better this time! Bravo!

AC show: some diction was sloppy which was weird to me since Dr. Stroope is such an easy conductor to follow. His diction cues are the most precise I've ever followed.

actually, i'd think it's harder with more voices.

with less people per part it's easier to blend. with this many people per voice part, it's almost impossible to make it blend so that each section sounds whole and not scattered voices sticking out. for a large choir to blend so well that not one voice sticks out is a real accomplishment.

and i'm not saying this because i was in this choir. i'm saying it because it's the truth. it's harder for a big group to blend because of the amount of people.

yeah. i cant believe how well this turned out. i was in region choir (south nj) and it didn't blend well and i didnt think all state would be too much better. but i still we should've been in mixed formation. i think it would've sounded better.

This is a great version. It's hard to compare to every other video of this because most other choirs that sing this have about 20-30 people in it. Not even close to this many. With that many voices, it's hard to go wrong.
