The concert of russia haven't been recorded as a cd, so you should be happy that someone have filmed it, even if it's amateur. there's still american live cd's to see, and they are worth buying. M.E

jfeltz, Crescent is like Oman, i.e. Brendan plays it only in concerts until he perfects it. It is significantly different on every concert CD on which it appears. I think it can be better, and if Brendan ever sees fit to release a final version, I'm sure it will be. Some of DCD's BEST songs have NEVER been released!

Having seen them on the Toward the Within tour in '94, I can say I'd easily shell out $150 bucks a pop to see them again - especially in a theater venue and not a stadium (like The Police, at over $200 ea).

Lisa Gerard IS DCD. They are not a band in the usual sense. When they (Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerard) decide to collaborate and go on tour , they gather musicians and do it as DCD. They usually just work on their own respective projects. Brendan lives in Ireland, Lisa in Australia. DCD doesn't maintain a typical rock band structure and existance, they play when there is music to be played. Much more natiral and productive.

Lisa is given too much credit in my oppinion. Some of the most magical tunes, lyrics (all the lyrics actually) and compositions are from Brendan.

Brendan Perry is the very foundation of DCD.

Lisa's contribution to the group is massive, of course, but Perry deserves the bulk of the credit for the artistry and overall vision.

@goingfortheone1 I think all the magical lyrics are brendan's (except of course by hymn for the fallen and some others) cause Lisa didn't use lyrics, she used just notes and tones with meaningless sounds, and makes music as magical as brendan's lyrics. Yes, brendan is a little unvaluated, but Lisa's voice is much more controlled and is much more beatiful because she knows to manage her using vibrato and tremolo, things by the way that brendan can't control.

I would easily pay more than the 150$ to have an experience like that again.

Live the music kinda hits the heart in a way only found by having the live musicians playing with the right crowd.

unfortunately it's an unreleased song, but you can find it using soulseek or emule, it's part of their 2005 world tour ;)

It is on the 2005 concert recordings, tere was one for every concert I think and one which ewas a slelction of what was their best performances, They were fairly rare and could go for high prices on ebay. You may be lucky though!!

It's not too often you get to see a bootlegged performance by DCD. I would have recorded when I saw them in Montreal last year, but the security was pretty anal, especially with so many of us "gothic types" to watch (lol). Thanks for posting!
