ellis wasnt that great for the tigers last season. he was solid but nothing like we were told buy the english before he came over. he was renowned for his ability to score, but he didnt score a single try. hes not a bad player at all, but just say if he was australian, he would definitely not be selected for state of origin level, never mind australia
burgess has looked awesome in the trials, but against the roosters today he was very average(but so was the rest of his team though)
Burgess will be fine - expect he'll make a similar impact as Ellis last season. Crabtree under-punches his weight - he could be great if he had the bottle of Morley or SBW. Westerman and Shenton from Cas Tigers look good prospects and both would improve by going to NRL So would Eastmond. English commentators can't watch NRL otherwise they would know that hardly any English players are true world class, forwards or backs. Shame Cunningham never went to NRL - he would have done well.

@MrRichieLee , Not saying he's the best yet, but he has the potential to become the best by a long way, traditionaly we have produced forwards to match Aus and Nz no probs, its the backs were we have a serious problem/shortage and while that continues we will never compete internationally.

@meatheadc To be fair Gareth Ellis last year proved he could live in the NRL.
Also the aussies liked the look of Crabtree. But he'll need another big season for the NRL to really make offers on him.
