  • thumbs up for pocahontas

  • This reminds me of Super 8's ending.

  • disney what happened to you ? this is too beautiful

  • So sad :(

  • WHY DID THEY MAKE THE SECOND FILM?! i guess it is more historically accurate, but seriously, if they were gonna eventually break john smith's heart (and mine), they shouldn't have made this movie from the start and gotten my hopes up geez.

  • did anyone else get pissed off when she chose the other person in the second film?

  • anyone cried?

  • This has to be the best ending in all of the Disney movies (in my opinion anyway). From the first time I watched this movie it's been my favorite and none of the other have topped it, although they are very good as well. This one just touches something deep, and still does today and I'm 19 now lol.

  • This movie always makes me proud to be a Native American.

  • This gets me EVERY DAMN TIME!

  • I get goosebumps when ever I see this ending.

  • Best Disney's Ending of all time <3

  • the second movie destroyed everything.

  • 28 people have a heart of stone :(

  • GENIUSLY

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • choir finale:

"...you'll never here the wolf cry to the blue corn moon

For whether we are white or copper-skinned

we need to sing with all the voices of the mountain

We need to paint with all the colors of the wind

You can own the earth and still all you'll own is earth until

you can paint with all the colors of the wind."

Hymned with the most breathtaking passion = Masterpiece

  • favourite film of time, the ending never fails to give me goosebumps!

  • I weeping.

  • Masterpiece!!!! i feel shivers everytime i watch this ending... I LOVE IT!

  • I DID NOT like the fact that Pocahontas went off with John Rolf in the 2nd movie. Ugggh! I wanted it to be John Smith! I love this ending though

  • I wish that history was like this

(sorry if my English is bad...)

  • You can hear her heart beat when she runs because of the music. Wonderful.

  • I CRIED WHEN I WAS LOOKING AT THIS SCENE

  • She haves great stamina

  • good

  • gänsehaut einfach.

  • ima guy and i cried when i was young and i stil cried at 16

  • @whitey8414

    me too, and im 20

  • If you're not scared and some psychics scenes in some cartoons, if it don't bring you nightmares and you always are aware that it is just a cartoon, this cartoon is the best one for you, you've come to the right place! You actually will love watching it. Go to freecartoons now!!

  • i think if pocahontas friend (forgot her name) never would have told cocoum that pocaahontas was "in trouble" then i think the second movie never would have happen -.-

  • the second movie is sooooooo stupid.....pocahintans and john belong together!

  • The music at the end gets me every time, that crescendo and the bells and flying flute notes OH. MY. GOODNESS. THEN THE CHOIR SINGS? ahhhh!

  • Be advised: do NOT watch this at 2 AM after a really depressing evening, because you WILL bawl your eyes out.

  • @severalshirts i dunno about you, but i bawled my eyes out anyways...

  • @severalshirts i know that's right XD

  • @severalshirts just tried. It is true what you said!

  • The Chief had some "reservations" about how this peace with the white man would work.

  • It gives me the chills Why is it that the world isn't a Disney movie It would be so much easier and beautiful

  • This melody always makes me shiver. It's so...EPIC!

  • @EpicRamenKnight DITTO!

  • Whoever said they didn't get goosebumps watching this is LYING!

  • i just knew I could easily cried within a minute in this vi

  • This scene fills me with panic, no matter how many times I watch this, I worry she won't get there in time to wave goodbye...

  • of all the disney women, pocahontas has the most beautiful hair.. and she has the angelina jolie pout.

  • Where the FUCK are the Oscars for this superb movie?!?!?!

  • @missmuggledetector this movie's soundtrack has two oscars.... one for best original song (colors of the wind) and also best original score by the wonderful Alan Menken!!!

  • @nashaflydivacharles THIS. Has made me very happy.

  • I was 3 years old when this came out in the cinema, it was also the first film I ever saw in the cinema too, I can strangely remember the whole experience, I was so overwhelmed by the size of the screen, I sat in the aisle for the whole thing in awe. It was then always my favourite film as a child, and brings back a million and one memories from being a child, when life was at its best, and even now, as an 18 year old, this film makes me cry histerically every time I watch it! Thank you Disney<3

  • @x3MIlYxROS3x I hear ya! The finale is so overwhelming, beautiful and sad, I always cry like a baby with it.

  • I've seen this movie so many times, but I never managed to keep it dry

  • Comment removed

  • I got shivers. Love it.

  • better ending than freaking High School Musical!!

  • why did they have to make a sequel that basically destroys this beautiful masterpiece?

  • We cannot explain what "Pocahontas" is...the most beautiful cartoon ever...such as the finale scene...no words about that! It is...so fabulous, so commovent, so moving!! I will love it till the end of my days <3 <3

  • :'(

    T-T

I am 22 and I can't stand not to cry on this :C

  • Favorite movie<3 and lets just say the sequel was never made..

  • She has great posture o.o;

  • Pocs!!! Ffs you could have gone with him!!! :'(

  • Anybody else notice how Pocahontas is running faster than the ship at 0:47 and pretty much gets ahead of it and then at 0:52 it's like half a mile ahead of her.

  • I'm not crying. It's just raining on my face. :'(

  • OMG I love this disney movie, time to watch it again...awesome scene

  • Alan Menken...I ruined my movie to return to this part. I ruined my movie, and I am PROUD of it.

  • The music is definitely a big part that makes this scene so powerful. God speed Alan Menken.

  • screw this! i wouldn't have let him go!! i would swim after him!

  • this is like one of the few disney movies that doesn't have a complete happy ending.

  • Is it just me, or is it getting CHILLY IN HERE

  • Pocahontas 2 was not needed at all. Who cares if its historically correct? The first has the best story and music anyway.

  • I don't think they should have even bothered making Pocahontas 2 at all, I think they only did it because people were complaining of the historical inaccuracies in this film. But the second film has no magic at all, even the songs aren't even worthy of mention compared to these ones, DAMN YOU HISTORICAL CORRECTNESS.

  • it gives me goosebumps whenever i see this.

  • God she is so independent and strong! She saves him, and then he has to leave her, yet she is so happy. : )

  • -sniffles- I was crying within the first five seconds. One of their saddest, bestest, awesomest endings ever. The music alone brings tears to my eyes. To see the emotion on their faces when they say goodbye just makes me bawl.

  • this had more depth and sense than the sequel! It has more emotions and SENSE as if you are given a deeper picture of what it is like to love and part ways and trust that your love will return to you.

The sequel? It's...I don't know. Shallow? Lacking? Contradicting? senseless?

I mean If I were J. Smith and Pocahontas, letting go would lead to a whole lotta drama than a few spoken words in the balcony with a new brit accented hottie in without extra charge.

  • this is honestly, one of the few tragic endings that actually made me cry, as opposed to the end of Star Wars Episode 3. i was almost thrown out of the theater from laughing so hard. it was hilarious, where as this is truly tragic (sniff)

  • This reminds me of the time when I told my boyfriend "Good -Bye....." :'(

  • goosebumps. disney is absolutely magical.

  • I want my hair to flow like that! Seriously what's up the disney princess's having such great hair!? I'm jealous!

  • My great grandmother was a native american, and my mother says it was always nice watching her brush her hair. Otherwise, there will never be a disney princess who doesn't have beautiful hair.

  • that music ;o (l)

  • @RevBillyRayCollins So is your comment. - . -; IT's a DISNEY movie, not a documentary, it's meant for children and adult enjoyment alike, moron.

  • @RevBillyRayCollins I hope you die. Alone.

  • the sequel didnt please me. why not john?! whyy?! D:

  • @Sandkastenrockerin01 i know its a complete waSTE of time. its bullshit. some sequels are better then da 1st but in this case this one is better then part 2

  • @Sandkastenrockerin01 Technically... it was John... just, well, the WRONG ONE, Pocahontas! Damn you, woman!

  • i always cry at the end when pocahontas and john wave to one another. its so heart breaking and beautiful :-)

  • When the music starts I get a shiver up my spine and I want to cry when the leaves go from Pocahontas to John and he does the wave. Crap. Im tearing up.

  • I love this movie , and you cannot help but get teary eyed and feel the epicness of the music at 1:16. Brings me back so many memories of being 7. They certainly don't make Disney films like this anymore. I also love how fast the violins get it at 0:40 , I always have to orchestrate with my hand. ^^

  • so touching :)

  • Comment removed

  • *cries*

  • THIS IS THE ONLY DISNEY MOVIE THAT ENDS WITH THE TWO MAIN CHARACTERS NOT BEING TOGETHER!!!! WHYYYYYY!!!! :( i cry every time and im 16 :P

  • I've always loved the ending.... I'll brb i need a tissue.... Ok i'm back! It's so moving and it really gets to you. But agree with everybody else, SWIM TO HIM POCAHONTAS!!!!

  • 0:56-1:45 definatly my fav part of the movie

  • I've never seen pink leaves before. ;)

I don't really understand why this movie gets a bad rap. I mean, sure, I know it's not exactly historically accurate, but 'Prince of Egypt', one of the best (if not the best) animated movies I've ever seen, had some inconsistencies with the Old Testament story, but I got past them for entertainment's sake, and at least it wasn't insulting. I can't understand why people are so rough on this. By that, I mean I haven't heard clear or thorough arguments.

  • @GoldenFlither15 Mind you, I guess at least Dreamworks (God bless 'em and their underrated awesomeness; I hate how much it gets put down for no good reason) took the liberty of noting that there was artistic license has been taken. So that might be part of the reason I suppose.

  • in my opinion,...............this is THE BEST disney movie ending EVER!

  • I had the VHS. I rewinded for that scene, always. To the point that the VHS skipped scenes I always came back to that scene: I love it still. Thank you Youtube.

  • She looks al little like Angelina Jolie, the lips ..

  • When I was a kid this part never phased me but I watch it now and sob =(

  • amazine ending! They should've left it like this...even though it's really sad that Pocahontas and John Smith couldn't be together =(

  • Pocahontas, John Smith and the other John dude are all real people.

  • It's so sad how in the second movie she leaves him, smh at you Pocahontas.

  • i wonder...and if anybody knows please leave a comment, but i wonder was Pocahontas a REAL person?!

  • @TheBryan3081

yes, she was real. thought she was about 11-13 years old when she met John Smith, so there was no romance between them

  • @TheBryan3081 there info on here in wikipedia

  • She's the most gorgeous, non existant woman I have ever seen in my life.

  • i think the moral idea from this movie...is to teach a person that just because someone is not entirly like you, it does'nt mean that they're not humans, like anyone else. learn to love and respect all cultures and all people. by the way, this is one of the BEST wal-disney movies ever made, in my opinion!!

  • I didn't cry because they couldn't live happily ever, I cried because they made a sequel that DOES NOT make them live happily ever after. :'(

  • @mizzfreakster96

just history im afraid pocahontas wrote her own story

  • @mizzfreakster96 unfortunately the sequel was accurate in who she chose inreal life.

  • @mizzfreakster96

I know! in real life, there was a Pocahontas and she did go back with him, only to get sick and die shortly after. I figured once disney got a hold of the story, it would finally be happy and they would get their happy ending, but nooooo. :'((

  • @Jensters10000 Pocahontas never went back with John Smith. She was already married to John Rolph and had a child with him by the time she died.

  • @mizzfreakster96 Yeah...what's the point of their love being expressed so strongly in this film if Pocahontas ends up with another guy?

  • As a lover of history and someone whit intrest in the Native American culture, this movie irritates me. But the movie isnt about history OR native americans, so to hate it for that is like hating the Lion King for the lack of biological accuracy. Stand-alone it is a great movie, just a shame so many people think it portrays history or Native american beliefs/culture

  • this is epic!

  • in real life Pocahontas went with him to Europe then ditched him for another guy

  • The only princess not to have a happy ending.. </3

  • OH whyyy T-T oh here comes the tears...

  • while she was running to see the ship i was shouting RUN FORREST RUN

  • i want to find the music only, especially after 0:57..it's sounds soooo incredibly!!!please if somebody knows the melody,i'd be glad if they told me xD!!

  • @n1kol1na91 this whole musical sequence is titled "Farewell" on the POCAHONTAS soundtrack. The melody is the song "Colors of the Wind," which Pocahontas sings to John Smith earlier in the film.

  • @musicaltheatergeek79 thank youuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D take care..bye bye:):)

  • Man this is why that FAIL of a sequel doesn't exist for me. It could have been made MUCH better than it was and make John smith and Pocahontas have their happy ending. John Smith and John Rolfe could have been epic rivals but Smith knows her best!

  • 1:22 nice :)

  • this is by far the most moving scene Disney has ever made

  • I think the animators went overboard in the whole movie with the magical leaves swirling around.

  • @TXRider I think you're an idiot.

  • @hiithere1231 No problem. :)

  • @TXRider that's part of the culture..Native Americans believed all things wind, trees, rocks everything had a spirit. it's not overboard..that's what gave to whole movie it's magic.

  • @JendayiFaith sad but very true. but at least we have those memorizes thats all that matters. =)

  • IM 24 YRZ OLD, & I STILL WATCH THESE KOOL DISNEY FLICKS. POCAHONTAS, LITTLE MERMAID, BEAUTY & THE BEAST, PETER PAN, ROBIN HOOD, CINDERELLA, ETC. ALL THESE MEMORABLE DISNEY FILMZ WILL NEVER DIE!!!

  • @AnthonyNiroshan dude you type like a over excited 12 year old.

  • @JendayiFaith who did the soundtrack was Pocahontas Alan Menken! Hans Zimmer did the soundtrack for The Lion King

  • I THINK IT WOULD BE FUN IF

    I WAS GIVING POCAHONTAS

    A FOOT MASSAGE AND NIBBLING

ON HER HOT AND SEXY TOES

  • @Kratos8462 LMAO. :D She really should have done that.

  • @Kratos8462

LMAO! Yeah, the sequel sucked ):

  • @Kratos8462 it was awful wasnt it. grew up wanting her to be with John and she's with this other dude in the 2nd movie!!

  • @kirasheart69 it was like John Rolfe showed up and i was like who the fuck is he?

  • @Kratos8462 while i realized they wanted to keep it somewhat true i was still mad haha.

  • @Kratos8462 Your comment made my day.

  • @Kratos8462 The sequel wasn't THAT bad, it's just that they could've done better. But, all in all... SWIM DAMMIT, SWIM!!!!

  • @XxXDevilCatXxX your swim dammit swim comment is hilarious!!!

  • @Kratos8462 IN REAL LIFE SHE MARRIED JOHN ROLFE, YA FUCKTARD. PLUS WE HAVEN'T SEEN HER TRAVELING TO THE NEW WORLD YET. And tell your comment ot kiss the Top Comments section goodbye.

  • @Serdikhan lol Fucktard? you must've spent hours thinking of that one by yourself, and just so you know everyone knows she married Rolfe in the end Jackass
