@muntoonxt I dont understand how you could call it 'excessive'?! This is one of the most powerful pieces of music i have ever heard, 7.50 onwards is just the most amazing explosion of emotion it is unreal, the drums just add to the effect in my opinion haha
@shakunkadunk Well, I guess I have high standards. :P
Of course, the piece would have been better if Mansell had stayed on the dark path, and didn't have to make the music fit the movie. Imagine the 'joyful ending' was solely comprised of depressing, melancholy music. (Disclaimer: I haven't watched The Fountain.)
This is so epic. I didn't get the entire movie but the music was amazing (it's why I watched the movie in the first place) So beautiful but yet sort of scary. I love it.
Oh man! That choir in the last bit really put the cherry on top!

FOURTH!
(As in quartet.)
Anyways:
There are two roads.
The first has many one-way exits, leading to the second.
There is no return from the second.
The second is only a wrong turn of the wheel away...

The only thing I don't like is the excessive use of drums. The beginning/beginning-middle is great, at times, but certain times are boring.
I understand that death leads to awe, but come on... Mansell pwns at awe-inspiring Darkness, not 7:50 poorly disguised Odes to Joy.
