A quick tip... You use 2nd inversion chords way too much. They should only be used in special circumstances. They sound much weaker than chords in root position and 1st inversion.
I reckon it sounds pretty good, but I do understand what you're saying. I like the way those chords sound, so I use them quite a bit. I just write what I like.
Though I will try a variation of inversions the next time I compose something, and remember your comment.
@wiedemaster agreed, your's is a fair comment, 2nd inversions are said to be weaker. However, that's only a rule in theory books, surely in practice there is no such thing as right and wrong, just what sound good?!
Its like Bartok straightned out.I cant read music but it must be great to have this skill.Nice use again of not obvious intervals.I like the almost dissonant nature of your compositions.
Hey again, just realised you had another piece up, nice work again, walways good to keep hearing them. I accidentally removed your comment on the music I put up last night. I clicked the wrong button (meant to press reply) but I just woke up. I just found that file and thought I'd put it up, it shouldn't take me long to re-record it and have it ready to put vocals on soon.
Oh no... not my voice, I'm not a singer, although I like to sing I don't have a good singing voice. I'll write the lyrics and melody, but I'll get someone else to do the actually singing.
Technically it's closer to 60, but about half of them don't sound that good.
I'm going to publish the 30 or so, learning them on my piano at the same time.
I'll probably end up playing piano renditions of them in piano bars around town since I've got nothing better to do with them right now!
There are also song writer's nights, and I all I really need is a dinky little keyboard with a nylon string guitar module on it. I reckon I could get it sounding pretty good eventually. :)
No problem, mate. I've got a ton more of these babies already written, and will try and post one per week.
I need to make them sound like they're being played on a real guitar, so it takes alot of effort tweaking midi tracks and virtual instruments. I reckon with more time I could have done a better job of it, but I do work full time.
how many instruments do you play?

@Runnerduck16 Fair enough, but there is always the possibility of the harmony sounding better, although I do agree with you sometimes...

Occasionally when one uses irregular intervals the music works.... alot of the time it most certainly doesn't work! :p

Very nice, like the rolontando, (however you spell it) at the end. You got 30 of these puppies?
