no offense but i think this is kinda gay when i heard there was a Musashi game coming out i excepted more i mean the first game from 1998 was soo much better this game doesnt even resemble musashi at all and the story line is horrible compared to back then
i know, it's set in the future all of a sudden, and the voice actor who voiced musashi sounds hella fucking gay, with that whiny nasaly high ass voice, it just sucks!

Cancel Slashing?.....Eh. That sounds more ridiculous than SSBM Wave Dashing. Do you mean end the combo with another attack instead of the normal 5-hit combo. Cause I usually end it with 360 slash.
what you do is u do 3 slashes, tap L1, than repeat it again till they die. sorry for not being specific. the cancel slash is a very useful asset when doing quick kills.
This game was fun, I must admit though, this particular fight was a nightmare at first, but there's one afterwards I just can't beat I forgot what it was though
I like this game i own and i have beat it it really is not that long..... but in the arena i always abuse the hell out of maelstrom (mostly because it looks cool) I am only stuck on the bleeders cup 100 and arachnolias nightmare
and BTW the fianl confrontation with gandrake is totally not a ripoff of the final fatasy 7 final confrontation (cloud vs sephiroth) but hey it looked cool. aand another thing I LOVE THIS MUSIC.
this is a really great game ive played and beati t 4 times :P it never really gets boring its really cool but not alot of people have it and they dont know what it is its very weird but i saw this game a t gamestop used it its really really cheap about 8 dollars
Well...compared to brave fencer musashi....and I can't forgive how the screwed up the copy system....so it may not be a "crappy" game...but it really was a disappointing one.
yeah...but its the concept, at least in the first one you could actually get abilites safely, and even if they didn't have anything you wanted, it didn't really matter. But in this one you can't tell who has what ability and you actually have to wait for them to hit you...its just stupid. The thing I actually like the most was the opening sequence....it rocked =)
that might of been true...but it doesn't really tell you that. It gives you the illusion you can get abilities from any enemy, from any attack...and that fact that you have to press square at the right time, and even if you do, you have to have a certain amout of focus...it just pissed me off.
Its why I raised my Focus on this playthrough. So I'll learn them right away. The game makes up for it at the end by giving you a counter ability which is like learning attacks but stronger.
When I first played through...I didn't know this...so you can understand my understanding of this problem. I got the counter ability, but I couldn't really understand how it worked.
this game was always so fun. the weapon variety, not so much. i found myself mostly only using the cross slash, sonic thrust, and the magic on your first weapon.

Yeah I guess but the copy skills didn't come in handy too much back then either unless they were fighting techniques.

I only don't like how there isn't much variety in abilites. Its set up so that you learn about 2-4 abilities each chapter.
