  • Problem with this version is that R & J actors are waaay too old for their roles.

  • Thats okay juliet just miss out your most important line. Its fine. Just do your own thing.

  • This is a good version, only if the acting was lifted up a notch, but you can't blame them, it was the fifties after all.

  • @kcaj123456 yeah Romeo is 17 or 18,Juliet is 13

  • they dance like stick puppets

  • Laurence Harvey was about 26 years old here...

  • Romeo looks like he's in his 40's 0.0

  • "young Romeo is here"

    HE IS NOT YOUNG.

  • what is the title of soundtrack?

  • I hate it how they have to ryhme every word or make a poem they speak :S

  • what this version,i prefer the other with leonarrd and olivia

  • what the heck how come they don't kiss?!

  • WTF they don't even kiss??

  • why is their dance so creepy? LOL

  • I think the original 1597 play was the best

  • Does Romeo did died?

  • Romeo's suck a perv! Juliet is only twelve! probably was fine back then but now ugh >.< first he had the hots for rosaline but she rejected him cause she went a nun. and now juliet and yet married the next day and they don't even know each other! the night after their marrige bangs her up and leaves without taking her with him!!

  • @rockinamber18 It WAS fine back then, but anyway, Juliet is thirteen, and Romeo is only fourteen, so their isn't much of an age difference. And it was customary for girls to lose their virginity on their wedding night. And, besides, they were in love.

  • @TheLouisaGirl Pardon me, "there."

  • The 1996 version is better than both the 54' and 68'

  • dance in circles is ther education..of the rich!!

  • I think the music is much better in 1968's version

  • the 1968 movie is 40 times much better in music in kissing and the actors are much cuter in the other

  • WTF?? even in the actual play they kiss and it was written in elizabethan times! WTF?? i feel jipped, how could they not kiss!!

  • @mariaelisabella what is wrong with you people, "kiss" is not a big deal, you dont have to "kiss" in every movie, this movie is made for the darkness rather than exoticness..haaaa you people are so lamenably ignorant, dont get the point of a work of art.,

  • omg this music makes me sleepy

  • lmao sorry this is cool and all BUT I CANT UNDERSTAND THEM haha

  • I thought that the "ball scene" was extremely well done in this film. Unlike the 1968 film, this scene was not over the top, but the music was excellent in this version. I just wish the rest of the film were this good.

  • @Jibjub80 yeah absolutely wonderful...i like how they dance its realy hard to understand how poeple could be happy with so deceant manners, i mean now people need all nasty dance moves and still they are not happy,

  • i love the europeans and chinese and japanese they were fuly dressed and had good manners and had wonderful customs, but I would be feared if I saw those colorful dresses in night like ghosts they haunt me. They were such colorful people, lot of red and green and yellow,

  • bahaha....the romeo is hilarious......

  • Romeo was born at a wrong time looking at the wrong side, and on the wrong side of the bed

  • I like the 1968

  • thats cool they made juliet a blond in this one :)

    -Priscilla D.

  • its probably because she is british, and she has to be that to read shakespear I think.

  • wow ive watched the first 2 parts of this movie and it sucks. 1968 and 1996 versions are wayy better than this one.

  • who gave him the mask?

  • is this AKT 1, 5 or AKT2,1?

  • Act 1, scene 5

  • also thanks for adding this,

cuz the book was so hard to read :)

  • this is not at all like the real play its like here and there, but if they added all parts ogf the play it would not be interesting you know what I mean? too long and wont have any scenes of Italy and its beautiful architectures.

but was that Jiuliet with a hideous hairstyle and that was beautiful? but its a pity Romeo is misjudged as a spy, the poor chap had no sense of evilness in a drop of his blood

  • she did at 9.04-9.05 there abouts :P

  • this one looks a whole lot more authentic, with the lighting and clothing but the actors dont fit or can act the roles.

    1968 is better

  • D: aw Juliet didn't say the whole, my only love sprung from my only hate- line

  • thanks so much for this movie! I was trying to find it everywhere :O

  • The 1968 movie is 10 times better, but thanks for adding this.

  • @flakfanatic your right it is and the actors are much cuter

  • @flakfanatic no I love this one, i like the colors, the clothes and all that..especialy architecture..gothic..gretosique..

  • The 1968 version looks great with two great-looking leads, but I think that the 1936 "Romeo and Juliet" is way better acted!!!

  • They didn't kiss. :( DRAT!

  • thanks for adding this, although the cutting of lines is appalling, the sonnet is mangled and unfinished. Just had to get that off my chest. Your videos are a real asset to the website though! thanks again.

  • thanks for adding this i did not know this was on here
