What makes me suspicious of Bob Lazar is how he claims to have such a poor memory and then he uses this excuse to be evasive with questioning. I would really like to believe him because obviously it's a cool story, but he was moving my BS meter some as I listened to him.

one more thing...Lazar states that gravity is a wave that can be amplified and phase shifted and that somehow produces propulsion. Gravity is a wave? A wave of WHAT? What is this mysterious wave that can only be tapped off of "element 115"? If it's part of the electromagnetic spectrum it should be possible to generate it by some other means but Lazar implies it is not electromagnetic. Well if it ain't, then how the hell do you detect it, access it, amplifly it and phase shift it?
@Thopter Gravitational waves are in fact a real thing that has been detected (navy sub warfare systems have experimented with this) and is predicted by general relativity. They are mostly non-interacting with each other (non-linear) until high amplitudes, but the wave equations become horrendously complex if you try to take into account the actually linearity (like pond waves) of them. My problem is the claim that strong force is quantum gravity without a math proof. Why believe it himself?
@Reticuli Oops, brain fart. Linear and non-linear should be swapped in that post. Gravity waves are interacting with each other, but it is very weak until they are high amplitude... thus they can be considered and worked with as linear for most purposes, which is mathematically more simple. They are in fact non-linear, though, and do interact with each other and at high amplitudes this must be taken into account, but is extemely difficult math and rarely done. Sorry for the swap of terms.
@Reticuli yeah I've heard about the so called gravity waves but I'm not so quick to buy it. Like I said... a wave of WHAT? Spacetime? Einstein said gravity is an EVENT...simply a curvature in spacetime. Not that I buy that theory either. The old bowling ball on the trampoline analogy makes no sense. The bowling ball rolls *down* towards a well created by a planet in the rubber mat. Why would it roll "down" unless some sort of gravity was already there? Nonsensical.
@Thopter Repetitive moving and rotating massive objects in space-time cause gravitational waves. They are not the primary mechanism of gravity, though, and just cause the space-time they pass through to momentarily distort. Lazar seems to think it is the "carrier" of the gravity-strong force. In cosmology; gravity is not a force it's an arbitrary motion caused by mass distorting space-time. The rubber sheet & bowling ball metaphor cannot do it justice and is just a crude illustration.

It struck me immediately when I saw it and that was where Lazar attempts some humor by picking a hypothetical target for an example of nuclear annihilation and says.."ahh let's say...BHAGDAD!". This Friedman/Lazar conflict is really a can of worms. I've listened to both stories extensively and it's really hard to reconcile the matter. I mean you've got George Knapp, John Lear, and others who support Lazar's stories but then you have Stan here making a good argument against him.
I just listened to the 4 pt Art Bell South African shoots down a UFO you posted. I've been investigating UFO cases for over 20 years, I don't how this one slipped through the cracks. What an amazing story! Just like Art Bell and his questions to qualify the speaker, I listen very closely for any slip ups or hoaxing, & I sure didn't hear any. The black government does not adhere to protocol 100 percent of the time, and administers the proper solution according to case; everything is gray with military intelligence my friend. What Lazar says seems so believable given his sincerity and consistency however this is pretty damning.

Yeah, Friedman provides a good voice to the cause. But he is so 'fact-based' and clinical that he is operating from an extreme and completely overlooking human elements in the story; when you are operating from an extreme, things are going to be black and white, and occasionally you are going to miss something. If Lazars story were true, and the black govt. erased his identity, isn't it rational to say Lazar doesn't care to give names of teachers and or colleagues, so as not to expose them to the same. I very much respect stanton Friedman, but there are 2 things that i disagree with him on: 1 is the "Roswell" incident. i do believe that the "flying saucer"captured was project "mogul" and after so many years false stories came out. and 2: I do believe bob Lazar, i've studied every aspect of his story, and found everything to be credible, he is a very intelligent man, and i do believe that he was part of the S4 facility at Area 51, and that he did study a Flying sauer.

The jury is still out on UFOs in my head but If there was any man to make me think without a doubt there are UFOs it would be Friedman. He takes a very common sense approach and does good fact checking. He actually uses good science in his research and doesn't have his mind made up when looking at a case. He doesn't make things fit what he wants it to fit.

You are right the military personnel who claimed to have seen something they gained nothing from their experience. And I would say they did see something they did not understand. Whether or not it was extraterrestrial or advanced military technology is up for hot debate. But Lazar is different he seemed shady and really gained a lot of publicity from it all.

I find it tough to believe something is visiting but just using stats there is a is an extremely high probability that there is life on other planets. hell they say there may be life in the ice caps on mars. The probability that there is something more advanced is considerably less (not out of question)...and the odds there is life exactly the same as us is extremely remote if not impossible.

It was our biggest fault and strength in secrecy. I believe the fault allowed for 9/11 to happen (zero cross communication). A fighter pilot that says he saw a UFO may seem credible but would he be an expert on saucer type flying vehicles which we have tested in the past. No.

@Thopter Gravitational waves are in fact a real thing that has been detected (navy sub warfare systems have experimented with this) and is predicted by general relativity. They are mostly non-interacting with each other (non-linear) until high amplitudes, but the wave equations become horrendously complex if you try to take into account the actually linearity (like pond waves) of them. My problem is the claim that strong force is quantum gravity without a math proof. Why believe it himself?

@Reticuli Oops, brain fart. Linear and non-linear should be swapped in that post. Gravity waves are interacting with each other, but it is very weak until they are high amplitude... thus they can be considered and worked with as linear for most purposes, which is mathematically more simple. They are in fact non-linear, though, and do interact with each other and at high amplitudes this must be taken into account, but is extemely difficult math and rarely done. Sorry for the swap of terms.

@Thopter Repetitive moving and rotating massive objects in space-time cause gravitational waves. They are not the primary mechanism of gravity, though, and just cause the space-time they pass through to momentarily distort. Lazar seems to think it is the "carrier" of the gravity-strong force. In cosmology; gravity is not a force it's an arbitrary motion caused by mass distorting space-time. The rubber sheet & bowling ball metaphor cannot do it justice and is just a crude illustration.

Yeah, Friedman provides a good voice to the cause. But he is so 'fact-based' and clinical that he is operating from an extreme and completely overlooking human elements in the story; when you are operating from an extreme, things are going to be black and white, and occasionally you are going to miss something. Plus, the fact that grunts were in that phonebook doesn't mean that there were only grunts in the phonebook, that is a little sneaky of Stan. Still, I agree, Friedman's a good voice

Stan is right, just because someone puts on an emotional display doesn't mean their telling the truth, just look at people from the south rednecks if you will they think if they put on a peacock show that they are listened to and respected but the truth is they are just fake lie telling fools no matter what display they put on!!

I don't like to pledge allegiance to people or political parties, but I draw the line on this one: anyone who thinks Lazar is a fraud I have automatic doubts about. Stanton Friedman is unusually emotional in this one, and puts a mocking connotation on Lazar's words before even getting to his own 'scientific' debunking. Why did Lazar pass every question of a lie detector test, then? Why WAS he in the employee phone book? Why does he have pay stubs? Friedman really doesn't address any of this

Stan seems very jaded and even a little envious. I'm surprised at some of the ego. To appear the good guy he's got to come out against Bob. Well, he lied about M.I.T., he lied about everything. Stan has a "I'm special and legit" aura around him. Not only that but to say that gov can't blot out records? Especially when it comes to this? Umm, they can to whatever the hell they want. Here's what I think: part 1
I think Bob is legit. He's passed every lie detector test he's ever taken. That's hard to do, even for known sociopaths. I think Bob probably lied about M.I.T. It wouldn't be the first time someone lied about their credentials to get a job. His story about high school is a likely one. Probably very bright, didn't apply himself and Bob went to a jr. college. He was in the paper as working at the lab at some particle accelerator. (no mention this) cont-pt 2

He says that their is no way to whipe out lazars records. The goverment has the power to do anything they want! Also Lazar has no benifit from making up a story like that exepect maybe attention. It certainly would not help his businesses because most people would think he is crazy and a liar.
He also passed a lie detector test and the police officer said that if he was lying he ought to be in Hollywood!!

I'm still on the fence. Mr. Friedman is a very versed man in fact finding and research - he does his job and does it well , as does the U.S. Military . Stanton Friedman didn't get to be the Father Of Ufology by being a slacker - same goes for the American Military being the World's Super Power.

If Lazars story were true, and the black govt. erased his identity, isn't it rational to say Lazar doesn't care to give names of teachers and or colleagues, so as not to expose them to the same. Theres no way you can gain his knowledge from just a community college, nor erase his knowledge which will shine thru as it has been.

I very much respect stanton Friedman, but there are 2 things that i disagree with him on: 1 is the "Roswell" incident. i do believe that the "flying saucer"captured was project "mogul" and after so many years false stories came out. and 2: I do believe bob Lazar, i've studied every aspect of his story, and found everything to be credible, he is a very intelligent man, and i do believe that he was part of the S4 facility at Area 51, and that he did study a Flying sauer.

The jury is still out on UFOs in my head but If there was any man to make me think without a doubt there are UFOs it would be Friedman. He takes a very common sense approach and does good fact checking. He actually uses good science in his research and doesn't have his mind made up when looking at a case. He doesn't make things fit what he wants it to fit.

@daytona67543 I am just blasting Lazar on this one. I agree with Friedman that Lazar was a fraud. You are right the military personnel who claimed to have seen something they gained nothing from their experience. And I would say they did see something they did not understand. Whether or not it was extraterrestrial or advanced military technology is up for hot debate. But Lazar is different he seemed shady and really gained a lot of publicity from it all.

@tmdffn i do agree with you that many are frauds, like alien upduction i believe %100 that it was our gov. but one thing is true about "ufo" sightings, there are alot more sightings and there are alot more things in the sky than 100 years ago. but the physics off all this just add up. but all these air force pilots, including pilots of the SR-71 said they had a dual role of monitoring traffic to and from planet earth. but what about the radar reading of objects made right hand turns at 2000mph+?

@daytona67543 Bill Birnes is one that I cant stand and is a classic case of some one who jumps to every conclusion imaginable and forces everything to be a product of alien reverse engineering. Stanton Friedman is one who takes a more common sense approach...he doesn't jump to conclusions and lets the facts speak. I like that and it does give credibility to research. Unlike his counter part Birnes.

@daytona67543 Not trying to debate objects observed in the sky...just wanted to slam Lazar. I am actually trying to take a new very open minded approach to this whole thing. Obviously a lot of people are seeing things. I am not one of them and I have looked. 80% can be explained about 20% con not. So yeah there is something going on. Whether it is extremely secret gov't stuff or ET we may never find a true concrete answer.

@tmdffn i do agree about bill and most of the people who talk on any history channels ufo series. they accept any little theory they come up with. but who i do admire and i do take very seriously is steven greer. he does not agree with alot of the wild theories out there, he puts forth his own and backs it up with videos of contact although he does make you pay to see the truely amazing ones. but he has breifed many CIA directors and even bill clinton. you should for sure youtube steven greer.

@daytona67543 I have always believed we are not alone in the Universe. I find it tough to believe something is visiting but just using stats there is a is an extremely high probability that there is life on other planets. hell they say there may be life in the ice caps on mars. The probability that there is something more advanced is considerably less (not out of question)...and the odds there is life exactly the same as us is extremely remote if not impossible.

@tmdffn i am pretty convinced that there are extemely advanced civilizations out there that can contact us if they wish to do so. but i also believe that we the earth people are very immature regarding the amount of violence and inequality. our social skills havent caught up with our technology. steven greer also trains people how to contact these E.t.s. but one things that makes me wonder is the amount ufos popping up after we started testing nuclear weapons and the foo fighters in WW2

@daytona67543 Well the interesting theory that Friedman has put forth is that If (I use if because I am still forming opinions) Extraterrestrial vehicles popped up around our Nuclear and space age it was more to ensure we would stay put. That our technology was advancing rapidly enough that we could make the leaps outside our solar system and the ET's did not want that because of our greedy and violent tendencies.

@daytona67543 My only thing with military personnel observers and taking it from my own personal military experiences is that yes the government and all its agencies are very compartmentalized. It was our biggest fault and strength in secrecy. I believe the fault allowed for 9/11 to happen (zero cross communication). A fighter pilot that says he saw a UFO may seem credible but would he be an expert on saucer type flying vehicles which we have tested in the past. No.

@daytona67543 also would a current pilot be able to tell us the handling capabilities and speeds of an Auroa type project. Not unless he flew it. It is really what keeps me at the skeptic stage is that all these experts are not close to these projects or workers at these sites except the possibility of Lazar and Schneider. Schneider I can believe more but I have trouble believing a geologist/engineer was the spear head in a ET vs. Human fight. And Lazar well he has no credentials.

Universe is 13.7 Billion Years old - if chances of life out there is 99.9%, then the chance of life being older than us homosapians is huge. therefore, if chances point towards the other life being older, chances are, they are more advanced. thats how i see it.....

If this guy really believes that the US government would be unable to erase and munipulate all of his records than he is sorely mistaken. Matters involving breach of national security are given upmost importance, so if they really wanted to make it look like he is crazy and a liar then they would have no problem doing so. I'm not saying lazar's claims are true but he truly would have to be the greatest con man in history to make up a story like that.
