i think ioilemonzkyioi has just summed up the barcleys premier league.
two examples of players who are in the premier league but never preform there but do great in europe are ji sung park and darren fletcher, both are midfeilders for Man U but both show the same concistency in europe but not in the premier league
As a liverpool fan uve got to take into consideration that the premierleague is so much more of a higher standard than seria a. dossena looks awesome in his vids on youtube but then was shit when he came to liverpool, i agree that insua is r best left bk and he and aurelio cn fight it out
I'm not sure why people call him Zambrotta II...He reminds me more of Grosso. Both are left-footed, played as middlefielders before and like assisting. I wonder how he is in defending? Is there any videwo featuring this?
Your instincts are right. De Ceglie resembles Grosso in that he is far better at attacking than defending, although he's still young and has time to learn. If there's any young Italian fullback that can claim to be Zambrotta's heir, it's Lorenzo De Silvestri of Lazio.
I have to agree with you on this one. By the way, how comes an American knows so much about italian footie? are you a spaghetti by family or something? i work with an american company btw... c ya later, buddy!
I was born in Italy but had to leave at a young age when my father got transferred to the United States. So I'm a spaghetti by blood and birth, I suppose!
er, I am actually an italian in disguise. I m from Italy but have lived in London since 2005. Anyway, just to settle the dispute... we do not have any good "defending" player in italy right now. the last one is Cannavaro. Santacroce from Napoli finished last season on a high, but Lippi is conservative and stupid so i am afraid we will have to wait a long time before renovation is brought about. De Ceglie is a decent player, shame Ranieri plays Molinaro. Juve should change manager ;-)
So we're both expats in a sense. Any plans on going back? Not that I would blame you for staying in England the way the economy's going. Anyways, what do you think of Marco Andreolli and Domenico Criscito? I've always thought that the former was very talented and it's a real shame that he's found no place at Inter (not that that is much of a surprise) or Roma. I still think Criscito could have a great future as a fullback.
Hi mate, i don't have plans for a comeback yet.. as you said, i have a good job here in london.i will be visiting the US with my company (seattle), where do you live? anyway... Andreolli is always broken, and as you know, youngsters struggle to get chances in the italian league. Criscito is technically skilled, but lacks a physical presence. I am sure De Silvestri will do well, tho, and De Ceglie will be the future left back. Midfield is great and upfront we can score goals... let'see in 4 years
presto sarà un gran terzino.. spero che ranieri gli dia spazio.. anche perchè da quella parte c'è solo molinaro che nn è male ma sicuramente nn tanto meglio di paolino! fora juve!
I don't know if this is just me, but he looks to be a very unpolished player. The motions lack a certain elegance that one would expect from fullbacks.
wow, its ashton kutcher!

lol @ joeallen6 comment that EPL is higher standard than Serie A.
Only the top few clubs are better. The rest are a bunch of skill-less physical players comprised of africans and australians.
Football is about technique, not running really quickly.
The only reason everyone flocks to EPL is cause most clubs are owned by billionaires.
At least Italian clubs are owned by Italians, and not dirty arabs with oil money.

couldnt agree more.
Serie A produces world cup winning players.
