@TheGitaarAAP Actually, this song is about when one of the members had severe stomach cramps before a show, and was injected with tranquilizers to stop the cramping. Also, to throw in a little more info, the verses and outro guitar solo are in B minor, and the chorus and choral solo are it D major. Finally, it was originally intended to be on one of Gilmour's solo albums.
Yes !....just as i saw it about 100 feet from the stage to the upper left in Texas Stadium Dallas.....I 1st saw the Ball and thought nice...just like the circus....but it was moving back and forth and it was huge....then when it opened up and the lazers started flying out of it......wow.....I'll never forget it....what a grand finale....Pink Floyd always had the very latest and best light shows money could buy..... Cheers......El Fat Boy Texcino
Pink Floyd , The Greatest Rock Legends that ever Lived.. Now One of them Richard Wright Will be Forever Missed.. Eternity is Now Yours Richard.. Indeed it is.. Thank You for Sharing Your Spirit with us here on Earth.. I await to Rock with you in the Celestial Universe of Life of Eternity.. Thank You Pink Floyd.. There Never has been any Band Better.. Thank You Richard Wright and Pink Floyd... Forever Rock... Forever Live On...
Face melting solo...literally...my jaw is still aching after years of that glorious performance....my best concert and music moment ever...truly Art Rock
acid was 10x stronger back in the 60's and 70's and my dad said the last time he did was at a PF show in Charlotte when they hit the ball w/ lights it made a million little lights all over everyone and he said he could wipe them off,,,,,,wish I had some of that shit
im freezing now..too cold here but this solo warming up to me!..what a wonderful solo!..im listening to Pink Floyd about 8 years. Some lucky guys saw this concert live!..
Perhaps the most blatantly overt display of psychedelic mushroom iconography ever to be encountered on our fine planet. No worship service attended in the entire history of Humankind could come anywhere close to manifesting the Power and the Glory as did Pink Floyd in 1994!
I saw this live. It was the closing number of The Division Bell tour. This was the most incredible concert I've ever seen. I couldn't attend another concert for years after Pink Floyd. Everything else was dissapointing after seeing Floyd. I walked out of concerts after seeing this. Nothing could compare to this. A blind person or a deaf person could have enjoyed this show!
Oh man, i must have watched this video for over a 1000 times already, i'm going to watch roger waters live soon, hope it will compare with this show but im not counting on it..
yep I agree.. nothing comes close to this solo.. I was at this earls court concert.. i was blown away.. totally.. even watching it now leaves me covered in goosebumps !!!
some of the most intense lighting was used for this part of the show and the circular screen up to that point had been used for most of the songs. This was the main event and had to be different. Maybe a movie projection would have detracted too much from the main lighting event, the opening of the ball
awesome just simply incredible i would love to meet him face to face i would ask how to play this lol watch another brick in the wall the solo at the end is awesome lol :) thanks for posting
It literaly is the best. As it was voted #1 guitar solo of all time. The solo is just phenomenal. To be honest, it was this solo and the song itself wich made me such A huge Pink Floyd fan. =)
I was at this concert. 1994. Has to be the best concert I have ever attended, hands down. Got especially lucky because they chose to perform the entire Dark Side live after 1975. When it came to this song, I don't know if you can notice, but when the huge mirror ball (16 feet) comes on, everyone is looking away from the stage... this was pre-planned by the band.
well i guess the band thought of it too, right? and in that case they had planned it... anyway, what's the big deal? it was awesome nonetheless... you should've been there :)
I think it was quite clever. I also attented this concert and to be honest most of us did not notice this gigantic ball until it was hit with several thousand watts of xennon lighting...yeah..you'd have to be blind not to notice it then
This song is about poo dipers
