@camirocz no actually a stock gt500 with slicks runs 11.80s with a stock tune. If you put a tune on it it runs mid to low 11s and if you do anything to the motor it can run high 10s. so dont talk shit on fords if you dont have your fuckin facts straight.

The problem with cars like these is they are really heavy so they need giant motors to get slower times. My mustang can get the same times as most big block chevys with a 4.6l. The GT500 can run 11s stock with a 5.4l. Plus being OHC helps the mustang. Big Engines are overrated.

The car is about 3500lbs with the driver in it, maybe a little under. It's not a tube chassis car. It's more than capable of 9.0 runs, it depends on the air and track conditions.
Do a search for 1000hp 1/4 mile. You'll find that they're all right around the 8.9-9.9 range.
better have a Ford 9" with a full spool or a detroit locker in the back to survive that monster power you're making under the hood. that is one sick sounding 572 Nova. I may be asian but no ordinary asian, i love american cars and american muscle cars.

It's not made to be a regular street car. It's a drag car. But it's 100% streetable. And it doesn't run very well on pump gas. He usually uses something around 112. i think.
I don't remember what he was running in it for this. This was basically right after he had brought it home, it was one of the first few times he'd ever run the car, and it was pretty cold. Part of the sound is from the noise being too loud for the little speakers on my camera.
I don't know. Not much. But with a car that's built primarily for drag racing and only sees the street on certain occasions, mpg is not an important or concerning factor for this car.

yep, come up to 3500 rpm for 30 seconds and the heads will get warm.. it'll idle
