i love how fast the cadillac was. my guess is the engine was modified, cause the DTS usually shares the same 4.6 engine with the police fords, plus the cop's engine usually has the 'air intake upgrade' as well.

It's actually nowhere near the same engine... You're right, it is a 4.6, like the Police Interceptors, but it's a 32 Valve Northstar V8. More than capable of outrunning an Interceptor. The Northstar, for being an engine used primarily by retirees, has an amazing gear ratio that also helps it accelerate better than an Interceptor. Interceptors only come with a whopping 250hp, where as the DTS comes standard with 275, or the DTS performance package which is 292hp.
