I think Arnel Pineda is an absolutely brilliant vocalist. He was heavily influenced by the vocals of Steve Perry and I believe that comes through clearly in his renditions of traditional Journey songs, as well as the original songs voiced by Mr. Pineda. I grew up listening to journey with Steve Perry, and I am not a hater. I enjoy Arnel Pineda's voice. Anybody that disagrees is entitled to their own shallow opinion.

I've liked Journey since the mid 90's, I was born on 1981. I'm not a huge into the details fan of them but after listening to this video I would say Arnel Pineda's voice is not the same as Steve's, but it is very close and sounds very good to me. If this guy can make Journey return to stage today I would say awesome. Just listen to Fletwood Mac today and tell me you don't feel sad for their voice... I liked this new voice and if a concert comes close to Milwaukee I'll go for sure!!
