  • great video. i think its nice that you are talking over ur videos and not some music makes more sense to me .keep em coming.

  • If a person has not seen or heard of FTP, they need not be using BT.

  • @DominiqueGiovanni Lol I completely agree. Backtrack can leave you vulnerable with all these services running in the background and then forgetting about it later on.

  • great video, thanks man!

  • how can i install flash player because the firefox in facebook can't read videos

  • thanks very much

  • You do not have to sudo on BT5 because you are already root...I mean yeah it works and all but there is no point unless you are signed in as a non root user... personally I think you should run as root because BT5 was meant to be ran that way...

  • @jasonkriewaldt Yes, I am aware of this. I am just used to using the commands from my Mac's terminal with nmap and such.

  • qual o melhor player de video para o backtrack.... iam brazil

  • hi sir am using backtrack 5 on win7 by virtualbox manager what is the best programs to install and protect my pc from hack?? plz help

  • @ahmadsos007 Change your password and install a firewall for extra protection. If you are really concerned about your privacy, take a look at some vpns services or Tor.

  • Anyone know how to run chrome as root? Help would be greatly appreciated

  • @OrionHumphrey Adding annotations to the video. Sorry about that. I am aware of the issue.

  • @how2hack1on1 Try Backtrack 5 Revolution. Its fixed most of the bugs that were in Backtrack 4 R1 and they offer 64 bit plus Gnome or KDE 4.6 ;)

  • teamviewer not working on backTrack

iwant run it as root :@

  • @aflaj1 Sent you a message. I'll be making a video on it for the fix.

  • @H4x0r18 How do I run teamview as root?

  • @OrionHumphrey I'll make a video how to fix it

  • Good stuff thanks

  • @Skunk2K20 No problem! :)

  • Some advice to all, stop using google, It stores you searches for 18months.

It stores all your websites you visit from that search for 18 months, then passes that Info to companies who pay google for that Info.

Start using secure search engines like scroogle or startpage

scroogle doesn't pass your Info on and destroys your searches within 48 hours.

I'm amazed H4x0r18 hasn't been using these to enlighten people about this kind of thing.

    Start soon H4x0r18 !!!!!

  • Love your videos bud, Just a quick note. Sudo is not needed since as root your already the "super user". I have also heard that VLC does not allow you to run it under root? I did not install it in my bt5 so i don't have a confirmation on it. But if it does then your watchers should know they will need to do a work around or set up a none root user to run VLC. Lastly keep up the good work. I almost always pick up a good tip or two from your vids.

  • @JavaJake83 Thanks! Yeah, I believe I mentioned in the videos that I shouldn't really be using "sudo" command but I'm just used to using it so much in Ubuntu and other distros. I actually never use root in any other distro, except for Backtrack 5 for simplicity of commands and use without error.

  • @H4x0r18 The "G" in Gnome is silent, like in the animated movie "Gnomeo and Juliet".

  • @TheAmazingJimmy I usually say Gah-nome. I used to say it nome without the G.

  • awesome videos :) are you allowed to post tutorial on exploit scanning and such ?? cause after footprinting and such you could do the whole process and how you use certain exploits on certain ports and all that. might just be entertaining altough it could be dangerous so i wouldnt like you to take blame. anyways... as usual.. awesome videoé awesome content and waiting for more.. peace bro

  • @Justic3h Yes, I believe I could post exploit scanning and how it works and all and port scanning, but of course only under virtual machine. Otherwise, it would be consider illegal if you were to attempt port scanning a website or running exploits against it without permission. Some states its don't have a law on port scanning, which is quite interesting..
