  • The Republicans are putting a scientist concerned about Yucca Mountain on the stand and asking NO QUESTIONS REGARDING SCIENTIFIC STUDIES. That tells you something right there. That in itself is very revealing. it implies that if they were to ask him about the higher-than-expected flow rate that runs through this mountain, we would be liable to hear the truth about this situation. I really have become so cynical about Republicans. I hope they get run out on a rail, they are disgusting.

  • Instead of questioning the scientist on law, he keeps questioning him on what the law is. It's disgusting. Republicans certainly know how to waste time. Why don't they find a real job for a living? Because the money's too good. If these Republicans want smaller government, let them work at minimum wage _ after all they're getting plenty from the lobbyists who bribe them, anyway. What pigs.

  • House ethics rules say that no campaign activities may take place in any congressional office, and use of office resources such as equipment, supplies or files is prohibited. The guidelines also say that staff may do campaign work on a volunteer basis, but only outside the congressional office. In addition, they may not be compelled to do such work. The use of taxpayer funded staff to perform campaign work also violates federal law.

  • I'm watching this idiot Tim Murphy bullying a scientist who has concerns about Yucca Mountain because it has been discovered that water flows through the mountain a lot faster than initially believed. The Republicans keep bullying the scientist, claiming that the 1987 decision by Congress is sacrosanct and the law.

But since 1987 we discovered problems.

He's abusing his post on C-span right now..

  • O'Donnell for Congress 2008!

  • Did this squirrel get re-elected? I bet he did. This is what I grudgingly admire about the GOP: They have VERY LOYAL 100% brainwashed foot-soldiers. I mean, lookit! They'll broadcast their next "Justice Sunday RNC Fund-Raiser/Christian-Right Hill-Billy Hootin'-Nanny Square Dance and Old Timey Tent Revival Prayer Meeting" - from whatever Federal Prison has Tom DeLay in their rotating population of the uber-rich republican party's "unfortunately incarcerated".

  • They believe that earth is 818 years old, that dinosaurs are gone because they wouldn't fit on the ark and that an Andover cheerleader with a coke habit is a war hero.

  • If a republican isn't a crook (and Murphy is) then he's covering-up for another one who is.

  • There is no reason for divisive comments anymore our country. Someone's idea of "Compassionate Conservatism" is slashing a gaping wound into the very heart of America, as Christians are hoodwinked. Now, it is time to unify and protect traditional values, like the BILL of RIGHTS, which is under dire threat. I have questions for fellow Christians on my response. The PRINCE OF PEACE teaches us ALL how to act, as we deal with others. Isn't it about time to heed His call?

  • used savetube to save this video

  • Al Jazeera bombing memo, Yellowcake forgery, Plame Affair, Haliberton, Jack Abrahmoff, selling the ports to Dubai, Abu Ghraib, Downing Street Memo, NSA wire tappings, 2002 New Hampshire Senate election phone jamming scandal, suspension of Habeous Corpus, those are all small fries to Iraq invasion, 9/11 and Katrinia. All of those actions happened not under Bush's watch but because of president Bush and his underlings. Republicians are the bad guys.

  • check out my profile. You would be pleased.

  • Iraq instead of Afghanistan. THE biggest political lie of all time.

  • "Whenever I see one of these made up scandals about Republicans I wonder if either Clinton or Kennedy is behind the scenes."

You have GOT TO BE KIDDING, RIGHT?

  • Something Republicans tend to forget. It took 40 YEARS in power for Dems to reach the kind of corruption that had then ousted from the house in '94 (and rightfully so!) On the contrary, GOP has needed only 1/3 that amount of time to commit almost as many crimes, most of which occured in the last 6 years.

If we REALLY want to ty and curb this corruption, we NEED a divided government. Given time, democrats may be no better, but HERE and NOW, the GOP is OUT OF CONTROL.

  • Bravo...even though i thought the Clinton impeachment was a farce, and not in the best interest of the country, I always felt OK about a Republican congress with a Democratic president. Checks and balances is the beauty of our system and what is so sorely lacking now.

  • Ooh another republican breaking the laws. Who knew. Best Repub response (at least here), name calling.

  • I guess the dude never thought they would copy it.

  • oh boy.. someone's been drinking too much of the kool-aid

  • The gatekeepers are conservative, white and old men. The media is very conservative. Perhaps a fool like you should watch the documentary, "The Myth Of The Liberal Media." Also, how many stores were reported on Clinton? And lots of Bush stories have been censored by the Repulican interest media.

  • Republicans have been corrupted by their absolute power. It's time to restore oversight to our Democracy. Please vote Democratic Nov. 7.

  • Republican corruption? What a shock.

  • "I thought Dems were the immoral ones." If you get a chance to read Dante's Inferno, you'll find that Christian sins of passion and lust are punished in the top levels of hell, whereas fraud; Greed; and, the most Republican sin of all, Pride, get the lowest. Read the Gospels: the easiest sins to forgive are sexual. Jesus hardly bats an eye. Of the rich, however, he has a somewhat different opinion...

  • Kudos to KDKA and reporter Andy Sheehan for taking the role of the press seriously and investigating this. Jeers to Murphy for trying to blame his staff and not taking responsibility for what goes on in his office.

  • His initial reaction of "This is mine -- I'm taking it back!" is very unfortunate. It doesn't seem to speak to a lack of guilt. As someone else here said, did he really think there was just the one copy?

  • He must not have Diebold in his district

  • WTF is wrong with the Reps, I thought the Dems were the immoral ones. Damn ya just know Bubba is laughing his ass off

  • So apparently it was his staff to blame, they just spontaneously decided to conduct a door to door campaign on his behalf without his knowledge. Such dedication should be rewarded.

Republicans are dumb, corrupt and inneffective. Now why would people vote for that?

  • I thought he would be a better lier.

  • Republican Hall of Shame; Richard Nixon, President... Resigned Spiro Agnew, Vice President..Resigned>> crook Randy D Cunningham,Congressman.. Resigned>> crook Tom Delay,Congrssman..Resigned ..Resigned>>crook Bob Nay,Congressman..Resigned>>crook Newt Gingrich,Congressman..Resigned>>crook Jerry Falwell,Minister>Demagogue Jimmy Swaggert,Minister>Sinner Bob Bakker,Minister>>Crook PatRobertson,Minister>> Demagogue

  • Ted Haggart,White House adviser,FAGOT,drug user

  • Wow, that's impressive research. You must have spent years coming up with that list.

  • no research..just lived with years of Republican corruption. It all started when Ronald Reagan closed down state hospitals in California,

dumping mentally ill into the street or cheap boarding houses. Years of thousands of people living in the streets homeless.

Worse is the huge number of people who cannot buy health insurance!

Thank these crooked Republican leaders for deserting

    Americans in need!

  • oh my!!!!

    aaaawk~ward..

    Prison Time.

  • Holy crap, how surreal to see this happen in my district. Just another reason for me to not vote for him.

  • It's not like they wouldn't make copies of the evidence--what a tool.

  • this is awesome. love watching the worm squirm :)

  • It looks like he gives it back at 2:08.

  • It looks to me like thats a different document that he hands back; maybe he gave up on confiscating the rest of the reporter's stack of papers.

  • Probably gave it back because he suddenly realized how guilty he looked.

  • That wqws another peice of paper that he gave back.

  • Busted!

I hope the reporter was smart enough to have made copies.

  • Getting the staffer on camera could be a fatal blow to the Congressman. Great work KDKA!

  • Who woulda thought, another corrupt repuke!

  • Who woulda thought another corrupt repuke!

  • jesus these guys are pathetic...
