I've just started watching Voyager from the first episode, I am on season 4 now, just watched this episode the other day (Year of Hell) so it's funny I ran across this video on Youtube!

Crazy how this is from 1998. Voyager still stands today though with a state of the art set and some visual effects that stand today (although alot of them are overused). Way better than most crap on TV these days. I wish I watched this show when it was new, I was only 8 at the time!

Rick Berman said that Kate and Jeri didn't get on. Apparently Kate used to get all the attention for being the first female captain but obviously all attention turned to Jeri when she joined the show, so it was a bit awkward for both of them.

She was painting her nails in the ready room and braiding the helm mans's hair during a borg attack. Forget 'Year of Hell", this clip should be named "segway from hell". I've always hated the way American TV can't just tell you what coming up, but has to constantly re-iterate and tantilse viewers with previews. I'm a grown up therefore can make an educated and well informed decision on whether this program is A) Enthrawlling of B) Tat. without the candy coating (i.e. Jeri ryan looking all sultry in the background) *sigh*

Actually DVDs had been invented they were launched at sometime in the 80s but didn't take off much like the Mini-Disc has yet to take off now.

I think Kate was an excellent choice for Captain, an excellent actress, and I don't think Voyager would have been the same without her. The Whole feel of the show was the closest of all the franchise to have that TOS Vibe. I was sad to see it go. I think there should have been a big screen movie with these characters.
