You just stated on the House Floor that the Gov needs to protect its' citizens from big companies that want to do us harm - attacking insurance cos. In 2009, the largest 14 insurers had profits of roughly $9 billion: that is 0.4 percent of the total HC spending of $2,472 TRILLION. the 0.4 percent hardly explains the high HC costs. You attack the HC cos without addressing the other TRILLION+ in HC costs.If you want to protect citizens from harm - try protecting us from Wash. politicians.

We need Universal Healthcare in this Country. What I don't understand is, the people who are the most vocal against reform are the ones that would benefit the most from it.
