  • @kreg001 midi yes, everything else no

  • hey .. does this korg reads mp3, wav or midi files?

  • @outhdare you are very welcome

  • The Blofeld is A synthesizer (makes Sound), de Novation Remote is a Controller Keyboard (Does not Make Sound).

I had the M50 and the mm6, but I sold both, to complicated to make own sounds. Both had very nice Pianos, Strings and Guitar Sounds, but the Synthesizer Sounds where not so great. I also had a Blofeld, and it makes great sounds, but not really for my Kind of Music.

most of the Time I use Plugins, now.

  • Well No Samples, M50 cannot sample. You may transfer Patches.

For Ambient M50 is Good. (mm6 not really)

For acid dark dnb techno uplifting trance dance house electro you are better of with a Blofeld keyboard.

  • Not really, more Natural sounds and Soundscapes , you may find sounds of pretty much every flawor, but it is more like a Module with some extra sounds.

  • Not really, more Natural sounds and Soundscapes

  • thx 4 the vid!

  • IN a Combi you can Combine up to 16 Sound velocity split/layer/crossfade including a Drumtrack and the two Arpegiators to a Rich and exprepressive Sound to play, look at the Preset Combis as Demos what the M50 is capable of.

  • i just got this keyboard its preeety sweet, but what are the combis for? just to play? or what was the purpose for putting them in there?

  • Yo man, thanks for the video... cause I was contemplating on this keyboard and you kinda helped me out by showing what kind of sounds it has to offer. I appreciate it.

  • Thank you very much for taking the time and posting a reply. Actually this was my Intention when making this Video so peaople get a glimpse on how this sound. Take care

  • Verry Nice sounds and melodys...

    Thanks

  • Thank you very much for your comment, very much apreciated ! Take care

  • those 20 patches sound like elevator music. canned.

  • Thank you very much for your comment. Hope this elevator was going up for you ;-) Take care

  • Yeap, the M3 is twice the price. Take into account the M3 also has a sampler onboard alongside other goodies. Sliders & knobs, anyone? The real good stuff about the M50 is its extreme portability. I have a Fantom X8 monster so I'm contemplating getting something more suitable for gigging... still undecided which board to get.

  • The amount of available Gear is stunning right now. I understand that it is hard to make sure you make the right desicion.

Anyway the M50 61 and 73 are very lightweight and even the 88 Version is not that heavy compared to other Hammer Action Keyboard.

    Thank you for commenting !

    Take care

  • Steve Kay is putting out KARMA M50.... for $199.... it will turn the M50 into an M3.... with all the patches M3 gets plus more........ dont worry about all the bells and whisltes that the M3 has... concentrate on your music.... I have.... Yamaha S90es...... Korg M3 , Korg microX..... Miroslav Phiharmonik..... Sonik Synth... and Analog Factory.... Ez drummer.... trust me..... if i cant make music with this.... FORGET IT.....

  • hank you very much for taking your time to comment ! Yes I know about Karma-m50 I was in the Beta Test. I undertsnad very well what you are saying, Instruments must be straightforward or you got lost with the technical and miss the music.

Less can be much more in tis case. Take care !

  • i have an 88 version on the way...can't wait!

  • I can imagine :-) !! Congrats ! You will not regret it I am sure.

  • I just bought the M50 88 key! coming friday!

  • Congrats ! Good choice :-) I wish I bought the 88 Keys Version, but since budget and place is limited I am happy with my 61 Keys Version

  • Yeah, I saw the 61 keys and played it in store, but I like more keys, and my dad refused to buy the the one without weighted keys so.. oh well I guess it didn't turn out so bad, can't wait until friday

  • yeah, mine is coming januar 2009. 73 key variante.... just for my live equipment. i have triton extreme and M3, X50 too

  • wow nice!for this money very very nice!

  • Hi there,

yes indeed this is a bargain, and it gets better as soon the Karma M50 Software(Runs on PC or Mac) gets released from Karma-Labs !!

    Thank you for your comment.

  • If you want KARMA, you'd be better off putting the money for an M50 and the KARMA software towards an M3... :o/

  • Well an M3 is still almost 3x the Price of an M50 here so I am very happy with it :-)

  • Really, 3x the price?! It's only twice as much here. If that's the case for you, then I understand. For me though, as tempting as the M50 is at the price, the lack of expansion more than justifies going for the M3.

  • yo bro nice vid,. can u post some of the Waltz/ 6/8 combis?

    thanks..

does it have intro fill in etc ?

  • Hi there,

I think I only ecnountered one Waltz Combi. Attention the M50 is not a Keyboard with Autoaccompainment, it is a Synth Workstation.Every Patch / Combi has its Drumtrack which is in Fact an Arpegiator and two additionall Arpegiators, so there is no Intro / Outro Fillins.

I look into your request and post if time allows. Thanx for the Comment very much apreciated !

  • yo! thanks,,

So can i use 1 arpegio to add a bass to the left and make it sound like an auto accomp?

and the other to play some tunes on the right?

  • Well, yes you can have up to 16 Patches in a Combination and Split and Velocity Layer them as you please, so one can play you a Bass Line in the First octave of the Keyboard and the second something else in a higher Octave. The Drumtrack is available in every Patch or Combination.

It is really a Fine INstrument.

    Cheers
