  • good punch!

  • nice video.

    thanks

  • Beautiful

  • The fighter with more skill at this time !

  • mayweather cannot really do this anymore he is declining as he get older he is more athletic when he first started in 10 years but after that he is certainly more skilled but not athletic like he was during that time but still he wil outbox that roider manny poochiao

  • @kenndiata what are you talking about?? The clip shows him doing it against DeLaHoya and Mosley which were his fights after he came back after prematurely retiring and he made Ortiz look slow with his movement. Mayweather isn't that old... your reading too much into what you hear and not taking time to actually think about what you see him do.

  • mayweather is such a piece of shit person in front of everyone, but his skills are great!

  • I love this videos!!....I shows how to defeat Mayweather.....Keep posting:-)

  • @maynunal you wish it did

  • so nasty....opens up so much upstairs, even if u faint/flinch with the jab to the stomach it opens up punchs up top....didnt realize how much he did it against oscar

  • @sharpshooter617 very true- and the stomach is your centre of gravity point!

  • Using that body jab against Pacquiao is not a smart idea... Perfect set up for Pacquiao's left hook.

If Pacquiao can withstand Hatton, Cotto, Margarito POWER body shots, then Mayweather's body jab wouldn't do anything really.

  • @FrYLocK41 **Correction- Perfect set up for Pacquiao's manila ice (right hook) not left hook.**

  • Pacquiao copied Floyd's jab to the body and cross when he fought Oscar.

  • this guy is the best boxer I've seen from a technical aspect. Who else is really hihg level as far as technique close to floyd? Floyd is world class.

  • , he was puching down so his opponent lower those arms, people dont know about boxing

  • @DraGorian777 exactly! especially less experienced fighters lower their guards to block that jab then they wont see the hook coming. BLAM !!

  • @DraGorian777 or if he's an asshole does it just to watch the funny reaction from the opponent...cuz i know i laughed at how some of em reacted to it lol

  • I can't believe how quick and slick that last left hook was.

  • Thanks for posting this vid. This is one of my favorite, but least talked about Mayweather tactics. My other favorite is the left forearm under the chin on the inside.

  • And another thing, when u cant jabbing someone to the stomach it makes u bend down and makes u tired. Its a very good tool. And afterwhile it takes its toll and ur now open for face shots cause it tires u. And even if u catch on and try to block it in the later rounds floyd will punch u in the face! So either way ur gonna lose

  • Everybody always dickriding pacman. Floyd is definitely gonna use this on him, he uses it on everyone. And pacman only looks good rite now cause hes fighting ppl who dont move there head which is everyone except floyd. When floyd beats him it wont be nothing new cause everyone will just make up an excuse as to why pacman lost

  • @kodeine22 I think Floyd will whup Pac but I have to disagree about him using this punch against him.... The jab to the body doesn't work as well against lefties... Bad angle... You'll see him use the straight right to the body though.

  • pure skill

  • i doubt floyd would ever do this move against pac. this move works on some but not on others. jabbing pacquiao in and of itself is already dangerous. floyd would think of something else.

  • @M055B0Rg: Jabs to the body are a last resort to the Boxer who doesn't know how to incorporate them effectively...

  • to me jab's to the body are a last resort

  • hm this is what got him knocked down by judah

  • @douker no. it was a right cross to the body that got floyd knoked down by judah.

  • @douker true judah got lucky

  • If you wanna catch up to the shit floyd does, watch where he catches a guy then rewind and see what he did before that...he alway 4 steps ahead of a shot he lands, problem is I'm a fight you can't rewind 41-0!

  • @Ray23carter You hit it on the head.... He is ALWAYS setting up punches throughout the fight... He has the best boxing mind in the game.

  • awesome vid i always wanted someone to make this

  • 41-0

  • It's easier said then done @jcmnica2007

  • why does he jab to the body ive never seen anybody do that except for him, does it wear your opponent down or something?

  • @mario6279

na lots of guys do it. ali and roy jones used to use it real nice too. its a good way to test your range and it keeps your opponent off balance and guessing. like that last clip in this vid where floyd jabs corrales in the body and then fakes it real quick and throws a left hook upstairs. floyd is so sharp lol

  • @modir91

Yes, Ali had a great jab to the body, particularly before the layoff. After the layoff, he very rarely used it.

  • @mario6279 Andre Ward uses this punch effectively too.

If you watch De La Hoya-Vargas (I did a highlight vid on that), Oscar used a nice jab to the body as well. He'd jab to the body and then follow it up with a jab to the head.

  • @ErraticBoxing that is also mike tysons knockout technique

  • @ErraticBoxing It helps drop the opponents hands throughout the fight which then sets up his lead right hand to the head throughout the later rounds.

  • @ErraticBoxing that's from training with Floyd Sr.

  • @mario6279 its very very effective,it hurts very much, and discourages the opponent from even approaching you,let me speer my fist into your belly and you tell me how it feels..LOL..

  • @mario6279 So he could strike an opposite( upstairs) jab, a jumping jack rabbit jab like left hook.

  • @mario6279 No what it does is make them forget about their head look at the hatton and corrales fight jab to the body and they Bob by the mid rounds they STOP bobbing their heads that's Mayweather mixes it up and goes body, head

  • @mario6279 How I use it:

-Jab HARD to the stomach for a couple rounds

-Make it hard enough to bother him so he'll block it

-This conditions him to react by bringing his hands down to cover up

-Once he's reacting the way I want, I change it up

-I then throw a super duper fast, weak jab to stomach (punch doesn't even have to connect)

-Reacting the way I've conditioned him, he brings his hands down

-I immediately come with a solid right on his jaw

I knocked 8 guys out in the amateurs with it :)

  • @FSMNoodlyAppendage Nice guy

  • @mario6279 Jab to the body is not that uncommon as youre suggesting. In fact, I see it in pretty much all amateur fights.

  • @mario6279 Oh thats a beautiful shot my man, it zaps energy away, it makes guys drop their hands, i makes them do things they don't want to do, it's very uncomfortable to get hit in the pit of you stomach with any shot, knocks you off balance makes you reach, it's jus a smart punch, we call it the "one down" one bein' you jab, and down bein' the body, beautiful shot, when the guy reaches for the one down, fake it and throw a "three up" (hook to the head)

  • @mario6279 It disrupts the rhythm of the fighter but it also hurts because it a center punch on the sternum..

  • @mario6279 Well let's say getting punched in the gut doesn't feel very awesome. It also helps to wear them down later in the rounds and to open up more opportunities to attack the head.

  • @mario6279

Andre Ward uses that Jab to the body very effective as well.No matter how conditioned a fighter might be.If you land accurate jabs to the solar plexus, its a very sensitive part of the body.Getting nailed with jabs in that area halts your forward momentum and it takes a lot of wind out of a fighter.Hence Mikkel Kessler,Authur Abraham began to tire quickly against Ward coz they took those jabs to the solar plexus.

Mayweather also wears down opponents that way too.

  • @mario6279 Obv it wears someone down you're getting punched in the stomach....Just like any other punch to the body.

  • @mario6279 it will lower the hands, and set up shots upstairs.

  • @mario6279 Mixing it up, you dont mix up you're gonna be predictable.

  • @mario6279 if you wach him fight corrales youll see why he jabs to the body, it can be to set up a right hand to the head or just jab to the body alot untill the opponent expects the jab and trys to block it but he goes for the left hook, mayweather is such a smart fighter everything he does is for a reason.

  • @mario6279 wow...i've heard some foolish questions before but this takes the cake !

  • @mario6279 this is kinda late but he is aiming for the solar plexus. one clean shot to that your opponent stops breathing for about 10 seconds depending on how much power was used.

  • @mario6279 its for scoring he outbox de la hoya using this thats why u dont really see mayweather hitting dela hoya with some big punches in highlights

  • @mario6279 It disrupts a fighters rhythm, and also that spot will take a lil wind out of you.

  • @mario6279 cuz it hurts

  • @mario6279 watch more boxing

  • @mario6279 Idk does getting hit in the stomach over and over wear someone down?? lol

  • block the jap and hook his ass,

  • @jcmnica2007 lol

  • He's sick!!

  • The kid is the truth in boxing... period.. one of the best boxers to ever put on a pair of gloves... hands down.

  • He aims that shot at the Solar Plexis and it is meant to halt an opponents forward momenetum.

It also takes so much wind out of opponents.

Ali invented that punch when he fought Cleveland Williams, then Roy Jones borrowed it,then Mayweather uses it much more effectively.

Andre Ward also used the same move to set up his Big win against Kessler.

  • beautiful

  • don't have to like the guy to appreciate his AMAZING Boxing SKILLS!

  • DAngerous punch that Floyd's perfect timing and reflexes allows him to use. I love it.

  • people dont understand floyd BUT THIS IS THE FOUNDATION OF FLOYD MAYWEATHER OR HIS STOCKS AND BONDS OR REAL ESTATE IF YOU WILL WHEN YOU HEAR ROGER SAY "keep hittin with that "stick" " THATS WHAT HE MEANS THIS SETS UP THE HELL DOWN THE ROAD!!!!!!!! PURE BOXING ABILITY!!!!!!

  • This is boxing at it's best

  • Simply beautiful. It almost makes up for his arrogance... almost.

  • @Ceferino619 Floyd Mayweather is not arrogant. Money Mayweather is. Two different characters.

  • @BenGenio Floyd Mayweather beat up his wife infront of his children, that wasn't Money Mayweather.

  • @coon0shooter "beat up" oh please... do you work for Fox news?

  • Thanks Erratic Boxing.........and Thank you Floyd we are all witnesses.

  • Perfection!

  • finally a video on this.

  • NICE VIDEO!

  • People who ask me why I think Floyd Mayweather is more skilled than Manny Pacquiao really need to watch this video.

  • The sweet science!

  • a thing of beauty... making his opponents drop their arms and making them pay...

  • @jamvalero27 I watched I liked it but I hope that @ErraticBoxing can do a video that isolates the combos

  • Comment removed
