  • Coole Sache das ! ! ! !

  • Great video.... very relaxing! Stove is working well. I am using similar design but have blocked of quite alot of the base of the inner tin now I get a longer burn and seem to get more gas burn from the top! Maybe before the gas was being burnt/wasted further down the tin due to the amount of intake there was at the base....peace

  • I think what occurs when there are too many lower holes is that the air intake causes the flame to burn too "hot", in other words, burn too fast. Hence, faster fuel consumption/gas burn. Just a guess. Good luck with future protos, man! Peace.

  • Ok passive air induction... Like the feather fire stove... you said it now the thought I am having is it possible to make a wood stove work like a feather fire?? Thats the $64,000 question. Ok your thinking Drak just went off the Deep End!

  • I had a similar thought..... an adjustable wood-gas stove.... Maybe a project for the near future! Peace.

  • What do you mean wood gas? Wood makes gas? Weird Dude.

  • Wood, when heated, produces flammable gases that can be burnt before the wood is consumed. See WorldStove's videos for a better explanation. Peace.

  • real nice, I have been off the stove toys for a week now and hope to get busy again soon. I know I owe you guys a vid soon lol.

  • The firebox (vege-can) burns out every 4-8 burns, but how hard are they to find? LOL. Peace.

  • does the bottom burn out?

  • After about 8 burns, it degrades. Peace.

  • When you open a can save the lid fashion it to where it raises off the bottom about 1/4 inch this would provide the heat shield for the bottom to make your stove last longer than 8 burns. I will take my advice and encorporate bottom protective measures for my stove

  • Love it. Great little stove, Have you thought about adding more holes to the upper burn chamber? Also I like the way you focused the flame with the other can. Great idea and great video Josh.

  • I actually tried the more holes idea, but found I was going through fuel a bit too fast for my taste. It seems that the the more airflow, the more combustion, the faster the fuel consumption rate. Thanks for the comment, Drak! Peace.

  • Awesome Video. Great stove. How fuel efficent is it? looks like it doesn't take much to ignite and doesn't utilize much fuel. 5/5 and Fav. Great Job Josh!!

  • For the burn done the day of this video, I used less than a full Bush's baked beans can of wood. I call that pretty efficient. The next "proto" will incorporate more design mods. Thanks for the comment! Peace.

  • That's a nice stove!!!Have you considered adding a gas wick to greatly improve the combustion of the gas and make it burn with a much bluer flame.I tried it out and it works great.WorldStove has a few vids about wood gas stoves and way to use them I recommend you check them out!!!

    Well done 5/5

  • Thanks! I have considered a wick, I just wanted to show this design with a minor modification from Hiram's example. I do think a wick will help, but that's for the next "proto". I eventually would like to make this the best it can be. Thanks for the tip! Peace.

  • Cool!!!Can't wait to see the next proto!!!!

  • sweet little stove. really like the side feed option.

  • Thank you! I liked Hiram's design as it was made from veggie cans, easily obtainable. The side feed design was just an idea that turned out to work well. Thanks for the comment, your input is always welcome! Peace.
