im pretty sure bute always had good power. but i think he was WAY more conditioned and trained harder for this fight then any other. he looked in tip top shape
Maybe the ref should have stopped the count for Andrade? Bute was jumping around the entire ring, instead of standing in the neutral corner....haha just a funny thought.
The first knockdown was amazing. Andrade wasn't even really fazed by it. He smile and winked at him because he didn't see it coming. The second knockdown was brutal. Caught him flush and he just couldn't get it. I mean the guy walks thru everything and didn't attempt to make the count. Amazing performance by Bute. In my eyes... Andrade won the first fight but Bute proved that he was the better fighter. This fight shows it.
I don't care if it was a liver punch, when did Bute get any power behind EITHER arm, let alone his left?
if someone told me last week he would win be 4th round KO I would have called him retarded and laughed and told them how they dunno anything about Boxing.
He cocked it back, and leaned into it. it was so fast and perfectly timed, though, that no one, including the commentators and Andrade, saw it coming. Very impressive...
@ericgftw wow you obviously dont know what his record, or the fact that he is a southpaw. of course its in his left. you dont know anything about boxing.
I love when people try to be smartasses and end up exposing their own ignorance. So firstly, I'd like to thank you.
Secondly, being right or left handed doesn't determine power. Remember Joe Frazier, David Tua, Oscar De la Hoya, Tommy Morrison, or Felix Trinidad? ALL of them are right-handed fighters, yet their power was in their LEFT hands. Now, WHO doesn't know anything about boxing?

@FSMNoodlyAppendage i actually think de la hoya is left handed..not sure about trinidad but tyson's left handed and mikkel kessler is left handed but they fight orthodox. thats why de la hoya has a really great jab and left hook, same with tyson. Kessler also has a good jab. miguel cotto is also left handed and fights orthodox hence his great left hook esp to the body. im left handed and i used to box orthodox. it feels more comfortable to me.

There should be a rubber match, Andrade didn't seem to respect Bute in this fight.
