  • Now that we elected the first black president, lets elect the first good president. Ron Paul 2012!!!

  • I would have seriously started shouting!!!!!!!

  • As exciting as that night was, the celebration at Ebenezer Baptist is what made me cry. Good tears. :)

  • Republicans have changed. Their only agenda now is to take President Obama out of office. Not helping this country. The Democrats need to get a backbone and showcase the ignorance of Republicans. They seem to have forgotten that most of the financial mess we're in was caused by a Republican President. It's going to take more than 4 years to get out of this mess. And with the circus monkeys the Republicans have now running for President; Obama should be a shoe-in to win again.

  • @71666kdb Yes, so truth. OBAMA2012!

  • Support the Democrat Party, the SAME party that advocated slavery. Republicans ended slavery. Go figure, chimps don't have a very good memory.

  • @swimmermx The republican party that you speak of is now the modern day democratic party. Stop lying to yourself.

  • @whateverman18 Oh please!!

  • @swimmermx Chimps have blue eyes if i can recall. RACIST BITCH!!!!!!! GO TO HELL!!!

  • Best part is people are forgetting he is just as white as he is black. Now if Herman Cain were elected President HE would actually be the first black president.

  • November 4th, 2008 was the day I truly felt like an American!

  • Simply because you disagree with me, it does not necessarily mean that I am a liar. And I am not necessarily a Republican. They can be just almost as socialist and fascist as the Democrats. I still stand by my statement that Obama supports terrorism. He did not condemn the Iranian suppression after their elections and he actually praised Byrd, a leader in the terrorist Ku Klux Klan.

  • With all the events that are happening now, Obama and Biden are still the right choice for now and 2012. I could not imagine a republican administration within this decade. We need an administration for the people especially in a recession and not for corporate interests.

  • @mcam51

We ain't gonna get that unless we vote third party.

  • I am very sorry that Obama is president. He is destroying the Constitution, which is the basis of our freedom. Obama has more in common with the Ku Klux Klan, who are opposed to individual rights than he has with King, who fought against the Jim Crow laws. It is interesting to note that Obama praised Byrd, a former leader in the Ku Klux Klan. But then Obama has been supporting other terrorist-leaders such as those in Venezuela and Iran.

  • @sthomaslewis Literally all of your comment was false. Damn, Republicans always have to resort to lying. I wonder why?

  • Stil glad Obama/Biden won, they are 100 times better than the alternative - Mcain & Palin

  • You are either a tea bagger or an Uncle Tom.I dont know one intelligent Black person who thinks Obama was going to be Jesse Jackson once elected

  • whatever im just glad me my parents and my grandmas are alive to see it.

  • You couldn't be more wrong..dr king would be exatatic that Obama won no matter what party...from what dr king lived thru

  • Martin Luther King is rolling around in his grave right now wondering why black people are happy they voted for the party of slavery and segregation.

  • your a mood kill.

  • I'm a Black Republican but this year was my first time voting Democrat for History.

  • Having buyers remorse yet ?

  • nope

  • So then, you are in favor of cap-and-trade, socialized medicine, a weaker national defense, government bailouts and a blame-America-first policy, right ?

  • @mrblujet Weaker National Defense. You idiot. no wonder young people AND minorities HATE the GOP. Good luck with your m essage of hate the next 50 years. PERMANENT MINORITY IS NOW YOURS.

  • Republicans hate America.

  • I agree with you 100% portlandheart! Thats why most Americans hate republicans right now.All of a sudden when President Obama focuses on the MIDDLE-CLASSS his a socialist! Socialist=CODE word for" WE LOST THE ELECTION SO LETS TRY TO SMEAR OBAMA SO WE CAN WIN IN 2012!"

  • no my friend its the democrates that hate amercia and everything it stands for

  • @portlandheart

You're wrong. The left and right politicians who constantly put the American people LAST hate America.

  • @portlandheart some1 has not looked into the white house as of late.

  • @portlandheart Obama AKA A 1 TERM PRESIDENT.

    I hate Democrats.

  • @SAMMYJS991 Good for you! I hate Republicans. So good for me.

  • @portlandheart

Hey retard...This was shown in MLK Jr's church and he was a republican. Learn to read! Not only is it fun.....it's fundamental!

  • Comment removed

  • The Democratic Party of the South in the 1950s and 60s is now the Republican Party of the Modern Era. When President Johnson signed the Civil Rights legislation into law, it lost the South to the Democratic Party for a generation. Look at the Electoral Map history. Southern states voted Democratic until Johnson in 1964. Since then they have trended solid Republican due to religion and racism...funny how those two go together...I should know, I live in Alabama. I voted all Democratic and Obama!

  • I am keeping HOPE alive down here in 'Bama! Bama for OBAMA!

  • " The irony here is that Martin L. King jr was a republican, and the democrats were historically the party of racism. "

That was when the democratic party was southern based, .. and when republicans were based on the north.

Now the parties are switched dude. A PARTY itself isn't racist... the people that is it's fanbase are. No one has "switched being racist"

Same racists, just now it's republican. Every current Dem would be a Rep. during the time of MLK jr., and visa-versa

    ...

  • Good explanation.

I always appreciate well articulated comments that are based on facts.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • @Sportspaz2009 very true and i dont' think my fellow african americans know that well some of them anyway

  • @Sportspaz2009 Well said.

  • @Sportspaz2009 it angers me when these republicans say Mlk jr would be a republican nowadays. To say that Mlk jr. would support torture, war, tax cuts for the rich, deregulation of natural gas corporations and oil corporations letting them rape the land with hardly no penalty and making it law to single out people cause they LOOK like latino immigrants is rediculous. republicans stand for everything Mlk jr stood against.

  • lol thanks Italia.

    and Jasmine.

    or maybe Carolyn.

    or Maegan.

    or Ki.

    or someone else....

    idk...

  • ryan ur adorable. 20 SECOND MARK IS MY BFF EVER

  • YEAH GO RYAN!!!!! lol (my friend was on tv :) just saying that its cool) AND GO OBAMA WOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • God finally blessed the world. I am a white man and loved this election like no other. And I've voted Republican in the past..I can't see any chance to vote for the GOP again after the tactics of the last 8 years and most recently during the McCain/Obama election. DISGUSTING.

  • mlk would hav been disapointed

  • What an amazing accomplishment for the UNITED States of America. God bless THE WORLD. Love - Proud proud white male.

  • Dr. King would be proud of Obama.

  • Control of Obamas Middle East policy was taken over by Dennis Ross, a virulent Zionist advocate of Israels ultra-militaristic policies, including an armed preemptive attack on Iranian nuclear and military installations. Ross is an unconditional supporter of the Israeli starvation siege of the 1.5 million residents of the Gaza Strip and fully backed Israels savage air attacks against civilian targets

  • MARTIN LUTHER KING WAS A REPUBLICAN

  • He switch in 1960 after Nixon thought that King should be jailed!

  • The first book that King wrote, "Stride Toward Freedom, - -was plagiarized from numerous sources, all unattributed, according to documentation recently assembled by sympathetic King scholars Keith D. Miller, Ira G. Zepp, Jr., and David J. Garrow

  • Whatever! Both of those men were FBI informants in hopes to destroy Dr.King!

  • Obamas purge of any and all moderate voices on Middle East policy, his placement of fanatical Israel-Firsters in most key positions in his campaign and new Administration reflects his long-term, deep immersion into the Zionist Power Configuration . dont look a candidate of change. you american dummmies

  • so is colin powell

  • No he was not, I am so tired of people repeating the same garbege. Please do not start with me.

  • Well they say that racial lines have been stepped over but look at how bad the country had to be in order for him to win that is what I see. I am just hoping that it is not like that Morgan Freeman movie.

  • That was before the realignment of the two parties after the passage of the civil rights act in 1965.

    Get your facts straight.

  • the challenge now is not to gloat. Now that we have tasted the sweet fruits of victory, let's try not to salt the wounds of our republican brothers. After all, we are one people.

  • we need to be skeptical of obama, as we should be of anyone else!!! especially if he's president. lets praise him after his term which i hope he succeeds in.

  • I agree..but we are in the minority LOL

Just him overcoming the primaries, race attacks, false charges of sexism attacks was a victory in itself.

I just fear people expect too much and are asking too much of him.

President or not he is only human and can only help so much. he isnt going to wave some magic negro wand and save the world

Everybody wants a peice of him. I hope for him the best but I fear the expectations are too high for anybody

But his failures will be blamed on race

  • I can't remember the last time the whole world reacted as they did to an American election.

  • @rocknroller111 Same here. It was fun.

  • I can't stop watching these reactions to the news. People are so overwhelmed with joy, as was I. No one else has done that. No one.

    Obama '12!

  • ME TOO!! .. ive sat on you tube just looking for the reactions at the moment the News Came in that MLK legacy came to be!! .. LOVE IT! cant stop crying!

  • Me neither! I can't get enough of it. I'm still in a state of disbelief and euphoria! O'Biden in '12 too!!!! Whoooo hoooo!!!

  • DrCoxsChiChi, I cant and wont ever get over it, It was to me the best day EVER!!!!

  • Europe for Obama

  • Great Video!!!

    YES WE CAN!!!

  • No no no no!!!...

    YES WE DID!!!

  • amazing footage history is made for all the people still filled with hate, news flash people its not the 50s and 60s anymore this country has moved on i suggest you do the same, karma will catch you not an if its a when

  • To say racism is dead, that's an awfully silly thing to say. If the Democratic party also had a white male candidate with the exact same credentials as Obama, do you think that over 98% of black Americans would've voted for him? I doubt it.

  • Well based on past elections in which over 90-97% of Black americans voted for Clinton, Al gore, Jimmy Carter, etc., then i'd Say HELL YES!!!

And for the record, 96% voted for Obama, the other 4% voted for McCain....

Next time you pop shit, make sure you got your information correct.

Until, Obama is Black and Black is the next President, Bitch!!!

  • "black is the next president, bitch." You lost a lot of credibility with me, but anyhow..

I dont think that they other 4% voted for MCcain, I think they intelligently voted for him AS WELL AS the first black woman running, Cynthia McKinny if they were informed.

  • Thank You, I was just about to say that because I was the only person out of my group of friends ho voted for Obama. The others supported McKinney.
