  • ALL THE KIDS WILL EAT IT UP!!!! IF ITS PACKAGED PROPERLY!!!! Great LINES!!!! The thing that made Nirvana so great they were not one dimensional. They can write songs that is like thrash metal I mean look at the bleach albums 5 songs on their could be mistakin for Metal. R.I.P,

  • I dunno man, Hendrix kicks ass.

  • kurt is the best of 27 club

  • @luitenant22 it was one of the best phrases that i read out! lol

  • @luitenant22

Kurt isn't in a club....he's an artist all his own...like Van gogh but with music instead of paint.

  • @luitenant22 i love kurt but the top 5 27 club members to me are..

    1. Jimi Hendrix

    2.Kurt Cobain

    3. Jim morrison

    4.Robert johnson

    5. Janis Jopline

  • @AliceinNirvana27 thats pretty right. but it will always be for me: whos betters kurt or jimmi? i cant choose

  • @luitenant22 guitar wise, jimi. kick ass melodies that make you want to rock the fuck out, Kurt. so there for its a tie ;D

  • @luitenant22 NO ! hendrix , kurt cobain and jim morrison are all as good as each other , plus kurt loved hendrix more than any other musician

  • @a7mdxxxbohndy he also sayd that about john lennon

  • @luitenant22 lennon is my fav one , too

but he's not in the 27 club that i was talking about

  • @luitenant22 Kurt Cobain and Jim Morrison. Tied.

  • love that riff!

  • I think its "keep 'em falling equally"

  • THIS SONG WAS A TRIBUTE FOR AEROSMITH AND LED ZEPPELIN OOKK!!!

  • sounds like thrash had sex with nirvana

  • @Babyface6200 sounds like thrash was nirvana's bitch cos you don't hear a peep out of thrash

  • One of Kurts best guitar peices.

  • fucking great drum performance!

  • i'm from colombia and i recognize nirvana is the fucking marvell they're so fucking good kurt is my idoleverything he said had a meaning you just have to figure it out ......

  • I think this song might be a result of stale music of kurt cobains time. Kinda like the stale music scene now.

  • Aerosmith And Led Zeppelin Were An Inspiration To Kurt.

  • What happened to the end?...

  • veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

    goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood!

    I LOVE NIRVANA

  • Masterpiece

  • everyone does realize that the song title is making fun of those two bands right?

  • @onlyeyesabove No, these two bands inspired Kurt and he wrote this song as a tribute to them. Dumbass.

  • @amelia3bond here is a quote from kurt himself about the song

"Christ!? Yeah, let's just throw together some heavy metal riffs in no particular order and give it a quirky name in homage to a couple of our favorite MASTURBATORY 70's rock acts."

this song is about how popular bands can do anything they want and people will love and copy it, just like aerosmith or led zeppelin. kurt was never a fan of aerosmith, yes he listened to led zeppelin early on, respected them, but this is no tribute

  • @onlyeyesabove Actually he was a fan of Aerosmith. He even saw them live.

  • @onlyeyesabove Funny how aerosmith and zeppelin aren't pop. I'm pretty sure it is a tribute but think what you want.

  • @amelia3bond did you not read the quote from kurt himself?

  • @onlyeyesabove Okay, and like I said, think what you want!!

  • @onlyeyesabove Yes it is a tribute. These bands were an inspiration to him from an early age. Get your facts straight.

  • @kakargirl why would you make a song a tribute to bands you like when the song is about how horrible pop music is? its called sarcasm. kurt did it alot.

  • @onlyeyesabove Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin arent pop. -_____-

  • @kakargirl aerosmith and led zeppelin arent popular music? are you retarded?

  • @onlyeyesabove aerosmith and led zeppelin arent POP are YOU retarded, lady gaga is pop Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin are heavily influential rock n roll bands

  • @SantiagoandDumbar lady gaga? there was no lady gaga in 80s you fucktard, and it doesnt matter if you consider led zeppelin and aerosmith pop or not thats beside the point, when i said pop i meant popular music, you do know thats what pop stands for right? those bands WERE popular in the 80s when this song was written, and the song is about popular music, way to miss the point jackass

  • @onlyeyesabove yes there was and her name was Madonna

  • @onlyeyesabove Are you retarded? Pop doesn't always mean popular music. Madonna is pop and just so happens to be popular. Black Sabbath is popular but do you think they're pop?! Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith are definitely not pop!

  • @CMD9889 pop means popular music, pop isn't a genre dofus

  • @dubbly1 Pop IS genre, a subgenre of the main genre Rock & Roll. Like I said above, Black Sabbath is popular but they're definitely not Pop.

  • I'm not even a fan of Nirvana (they made some cool stuff 4 sure), but how come all these Nirvana fans seem to think that Kurt hated Aerosmith, he even listed Rocks in his journals as one of his top 50 albums of all time.

  • @mondola you're not a fan but you've read his journals? .. but yeah,,,you're totally right, Kurt did put them down in his fave albums

  • @blindingsun yeah I like their stuff, but their not like my favorite band or anything.

  • @mondola And he was hanging out with Steve Perry at the VMAs :)

  • @EvenInHerYouth1997 I guess you mean Joe Perry, right?

  • @mondola SHUT UP! I dont really listen to Aerosmith! lol

    Joe Perry.

  • @mondola I think that Nirvana fans seem to think that he hated Aerosmith because it sucks. A lot.

  • @mondola he didnt hate them, i dont think..he just liked led zeppelin a whole lot more. which makes sense cause aerosmith is shit in comparison

  • @dlm9293 i think its definitely sarcasm if you read the lyrics. Of course there's nothing wrong with liking the music if its good music, but zeppelin were definitely too egotistical and aerosmith were corporate retards

  • @DGENERATE07 I dont think they were egotistical at all, in fact in their time they were more humble than anything. But thats a different conversation. Anyway yeah you're right nothing wrong with liking good music, and after all good music is in the ears of the beholder

  • @dlm9293 help me out here man because ive always got the impression that zeppelin were 'trying' to be the greatest rock band of all time, instead of making the best music they could and if it happened then it happened, like the beatles. I think this because of the way they pose for photos like they're trying to be somebody they're not, and I also read a book by danny goldberg (managed nirvana and toured as PR for zeppelin) and he says that they opened a record label just to add it to their name

  • @DGENERATE07 as for swan song (zeps record label) whether it helped their image is debatable, but the fact is it did manage many acts and served as a legitimate label for acts like Bad Company and Maggie Bell. they never tried to be the best, i dont think any band considered to be does. they were just themselves, and people responded to it.they were selling out venues by mid 69' and were regarded as the best blues basd group around, but didnt hire PR until 72'. their music spoke for itself.

  • @dlm9293 good information thanks, im still not convinced they weren't trying to create this 'look at us we're one of the best rock bands of all time' fake image though. like its THE! LED ZEPPELIN!

  • @DGENERATE07 well all i can say is i tried. i dont really think they were trying to put off that image as much as thats the image people stuck to them. but i dont feel you should judge a band by its image anyway. take nirvana for example, its image pushed kurt to be some messiah for the youth of the 90's, and anybody who knows anthing knows kurt hated that. besides, it doesnt affect the music, at least for me.

  • @dlm9293 yeah you're about the kurt messiah thing, but i guess that's always gonna happen when you're the front man of the band that changes the world... or maybe not, just the way people stupidly react makes it that way, yeah that's it. Attention comes with being a rock star but the way people make them seem bigger and more important then others is wrong. I'm sort of half and half on judging a band by its image, and by the image we mean by what they're really like.

  • @dlm9293 I dont think I've found a reason not to like music just because the band members dont represent moral values very well. Guns n Roses had this homophobic image and represented forgetting about everything wrong in the world to party, which is wrong. They made it seem like you have to have this huge million dollar stage performance to be a successful band as well, which made the 80s shit. BUT this wasnt in the songs, just behind the scenes, so theres nothing wrong with enjoying their music

  • @dlm9293 so whether led zeppelin weren't them selves at times to try and create this false image to be a bigger band or not, there's still nothing wrong with liking the music they created unless the songs actually try and represent bull shit in the world, which most of the time they don't. But I find it hard to be big fan of band that have bull shit in their image, but then the question is should everybody? I guess you just say i like the music but not their wrong moral ethics?

  • @DGENERATE07 you just confused the shit out of me. what im saying is that you have your opinion about led zeppelins image. i dont agree with it, so it doesnt affect how i feel about them as a band. if you want to not like them because of your thoughts on their image, thats your choice. but i dont feel the same way so i still dig them.

  • @dlm9293 i said a lot of stuff that wasnt arguing against you but it doesnt matter. fuck no its fine to love a bands music even if they did have bull shit behind the scenes, you've just got to acknowledge that you don't agree with some of the stuff the band do but you still love the music because the music doesn't represent that, just things the band do (which is a different thing to the actualy MUSIC) and lets just stop discussing led zeppelins image end of.

  • @dlm9293 *actual

  • @DGENERATE07 i dont wanna be startin old shit but i do declare there is only one greatest band of all time, the Beatles.

  • Awesome up down punk says Davey Jones

  • I am proud to be 13 and have an original version of this album !

  • View 60000 *G*

  • this song was actually a tribute to aerosmith and led zeppelin

  • nirvana was original.. people copied him cause he was different, nobody sound like kurt kobain, but everybody wants to, like he said STEAL A SOUND AND IMITATE!!

  • Anyone else think Kurt sounds like Maynard on the verses?

  • @SIZZLEBIZZLE1982 Maynard James Keenan? I don't think so...2 very good voices, but I don't think they sound anything alike.

  • @SIZZLEBIZZLE1982 More so than usual, but not really IMO

  • @SIZZLEBIZZLE1982 who is maynard?

  • @rgz1985 Maynard Keenan is the singer for Tool.

  • @BuddyRider Fuck you. You are tool. Asshole.

  • @rgz1985 ? Dude Tool is a real band, hahaha jeez.

  • @rgz1985 Maynard James Keenan from Tool. I think it sounds like him during the verses, same kind of wilting and the and of lines.

  • @SIZZLEBIZZLE1982 heh...didn't think about it until now.. yeah he kinda does o.o

  • that solo was beyond amazing people really under estimate his guitar playing *-* kurt was just the epitome of greatness

  • @slipnot102 he recorded this early too

  • aguante nirvana!!!!!

  • Barely heat the top of friend like it moves everyday" pretty sure that part of ur lyrics is wrong man. It's either "There's no need to talk to friends, nothing new is everyday" or "They're only here to talk to friends nothing new is everyday" I can't remember off the top my head though

  • 1:08 :)

  • @FenderM16

    "1:08"

Yes man, that bit is fucking awesome, subtle but massive!

  • I have a friend who like rap, I love nirvana, I played this song and he went ballistic, he said he hated it. So what your trying to tell me is that you would rather listen to someone talk, not sing to a beat and rap about drugs? Some people are too stupid to like nirvana, RAP IS CRAP

  • @chinchillaman1 i love nirvana and hip hop not radio hip hop real hip hop artist its not just jue talking its rhthm lyrics and poerty dont insult the whole cultrue just cause u heard a dumbfuck like lil wayne rap i agree i hate that shit also rap is more than talk about drugs

  • @chinchillaman1 without the c :)

  • @DanikaJadeee lol doubt it

  • he's talkin bout artists sellin out and the garbage music thats being produced.. this was 92.. imagine what this song would sound like now..

  • he says "its a brand" not its a crime

  • One of my personal Nirvana Favorites

an idea is what I lack, does it matter anyways?

    Nirvana <3

  • 3 ppl click dislike cuz they cant find the like so it counts fur like xD

  • THE BEST SONG OF NIRVANA!!!

  • This song sums up what made this band what they were- they lent modern music their explosive blast while executing a foretelling + culturally potent idea. Plenty of shit on the stage 'nowadays'. Plenty of fans, too.

  • @rosaleschristopher well said

  • @MrBillyjoer What's a season in a right If you can't have anything What's the reason in a rhyme If a plan means anything What's the meaning in a crime It's a fan if anything Where's the leaning in a line It's a brand It's a brand How a culture comes again It was all here yesterday And you swear it's not a trend Doesn't matter anyways They're only here to talk to friends Nothing new is everyday You could shit upon the stage they'll be fans They'll be fans... the rest is mostly correct
  • @DukeNukemIsHere3 wait, the line "How can a culture can forget its plan of yesterday" was correct, and is incorrect here. sorry, this was copy/pasted. reviewed it all and besides that line it's correct.

  • @DukeNukemIsHere3 I'm pretty sure it's "How a culture comes again/It's a plan of yesterday" And "There's no need to talk to friends/"nothing new" is everyday

As for the first part... it doesn't sound like he's saying "right.." but it does sound more like rhyme than love in the second line. And I'm pretty sure it's "it's a plan if anything" xD... "What's the meaning in love, it's a plan" sounds closer than the stuff about a line, and it doesn't make sense (although the /wouldn't/ be surprising)

  • @MrBillyjoer He doesn't even mention love in this song, these lyrics are wrong.

  • Lyrics are amazing IMO.

  • difference between bieber and cobaine you cant understand cobaine but you wish u could you can understand bieber but wish you couldnt

  • @metalrocko1 you spelled "cobain" wrong, kid

  • sweet emotiooooooonn

  • 1:21 sweet emotion much?

  • @tylerxx97 Really? I'm not hearing Sweet Emotion. Actually I think that there's a riff shortly after 1:21 that sounds like Time to Kill by Overkill.

But it also makes sense to use Aerosmith in here, since I thought that based on the title this song was going to be a parody of them and Led Zeppelin.

  • @85ihateposeurs listen to the riff at 1:37 and then listen to the second guitar riff after he says "sweet emotion".

  • every lyrics web site has completely different lyrics for this song.. =(

  • @Roadiepat Official lyrics were never released... the ones that fit best with the song, I believe, are:

What's the season of love, if you can't have everything

What's the reason in love, if a plan means anything

What's the meaning in a crime, it's a plan if anything

    What's the meaning in love, it's a plan, it's a plan

  • @PojoDogmeat

How a culture comes again, it's a plan of yesterday

And you swear it's not a trend, doesn't matter anyway

There's no need to talk to friends, "nothing new" is everyday

You can shit upon the stage, they'll be fans, they'll be fans, they'll be fans, they'll be fans....

  • @PojoDogmeat

All the kids'll eat it up, if it's packaged properly

Steal the sound and imitate, uniform and equally

Not an ode, just the fact, we're a problem nowadays

an idea is what we lack, doesn't matter anyway

  • @PojoDogmeat

All the kids'll eat it up, it it's packaged properly

Steal the sound and imitate, uniform and equally

Not an ode, just the facts, where our world is nowadays

An idea is what we lack, doesn't matter anyway

    Hey

    hey

    hey

    hey.....
