@FatKidCookie you use the existing wires from your switch, just unsolder them from your stock pots and put the on the EMG PCB board(using a screw mechanism)
Have you really noticed a difference in your distorted sound after applying the EMGs? I'm convinced if I get them I can produce a heavier tone from my guitar but I'm not so sure!
@quorratheband i did notice a difference when comparing with the stock epiphone pickups.
the EMG pickups sound more clear when distorted(where the epiphone pickups get muddy when you dial in more gain). the EMG's also have more output and sound more crunchy when palm muting(real tight sounding).
clean the 85 has alot of bass, which makes it sound warm(at least on my tube amps it does), the 81 sound quite sterile in the bridge when playing clean, but sounds good with a crunchy clean sound.
im planning to get these pickups, is the wire long enough to reach the selector switch?

to change the batteries is there just a battery compartment in the back?
YummyShorty 4 months ago
@YummyShorty no, i just insulated the battery and put it on top of the pot-meters(a les paul has enough space to do this).
you could get another backplate and put a battery compartment in there for quick battery changes.

@bhannsk8 a line 6 spider III 75W. i tried using my marshall TSL head, but it was too loud for the camera to record it properly.
