"Lost" video aside, I have always loved this song, and have always been truly moved when the Indigo Girls have honored us with a live performance at one of their concerts. I'm sure this song means many things to many people; Amy Ray said she wrote it for a friend. For me, it speaks to my wounded inner child, who endured horrors simply beyond description. Years of therapy allowed me to re-parent, but I also had to grieve for all I'd lost - and this song really helped.
Awesome compilation, but I can't believe they didn't include Kate's story in this video

Great song, great album. Never saw the show or movie. Never heard of it. But I bought this album in 89 and played it so much. Great memories.
