The last 3 russian vidios i saw were a complete montage of different martial arts styles. Which all seemed to appear to be akido juijitsu and tae kwon do. Or tought by a well trained hap ki do instructor. Love this stuff. This was deff a HKD or TKD sample incorperated into russian millitary. There jsut bass thow. Keepin it Classic.

There is no need to block a round house kick before countering with a push kick. It is better to counter with a push kick directly. It is faster and will throw the opponent completely off balance. It is very a very common technique in muay thai. Don't mean to bash or anything. Just a friendly tip.

I highly respect Spetnaz, but this technique looks like too basic,and the performers as people that do not know anything from martial arts. It lacks speed, surprise, and cunning. I have seen in more than one occasion for arms being kicked into 2, 3 or even shattered completely by blocking a round house kick like that. And that was only during training. What you do in this case is step to right, taking the energy away from the kick, grab it between your torso and your arm, slightly lift the leg up with your arm and your opponent is totally out of balance and at your mercy.
