  • 12:32 why is he wearing eggs over his eyes?

  • Bringing animals into space. Genius. That's something I would only think of if I was high.

  • 12:33 EGGS, get down there, you are no goggles, you look silly!

  • That guy kicked that cat!

  • They had color in 1947?

  • @ 9min, 75G !!!!!!!

  • What happens to the aircraft he ejected from? It just lands wherever?

  • @GarrettBMXes it's a two seater plane

  • 12:50

  • What year is this video from?

  • i dont care what anyone says :L that guy kicked the cat the ceiling. i died laughing.

  • @psychedelicmidnight -- how is kicking an animal funny, jackhole? I accept they did these experiment, those I'm a little befuddled as to what they "learned" from them ... but no, it's not "funny". curious, yes. funny, no. torture? no. un-needed? yes.

  • *tho

  • @artao5 Oh i'm sorry? of course finding something entertaing immediately condemns me to a life of animal cruelty. Do you think i agree with what they did? I don't believe they learned anything from these experiments to be quite frank. The cats weren't harmed were they not? Scared? naturally. un-needed? yes. Do I agree with the ethics of kicking cats? ooerr, no. Funny ? Quite possibly, hilarious. No organism ended particularly hurt so i don't see why you feel the need to disagree with my opinion.

  • Those poor cats kicked around and suffering as test animals.

  • @LysetteOne Nah, that's not a kick, no force behind it.

He just scooped and pushed said cat with his foot.

  • @LysetteOne I can guarentee that they brought them from home so its not abuse. :D

  • @LysetteOne, they had to keep them from grabbing onto the sides of the plane, and I don't think he ment to kick it that hard.

  • @00:52 "....occupied by a parachutist who had participated in its design..." aka if you die while testing it....it's YOUR fault!

  • @00:52 "....occupied by a parachutist who had participated in its design..." aka if you die while testing it....it's YOUR fault!

"....The SUBJECT received an opening shock estimated at 16.5g and lost consciousness"....lol

  • @Samboust I believe this was recorded in 1965, no hi-tech sensors back then. The best "specimens" to test on, were "volunteers". If a test failed, sorry you're husband died during a test.

  • @Brera011, it says 1947 in the description, but that does sound a bit early. Where'd you find the date at from though?

  • @Houshalter In 1947 there were no F104 Starfighters (00:34). They entered service in the early sixties. At 11:20, the B58 is also from a later date than '47. Combined data brings me to a (good) guess around 1965, give or take a year.

  • The vibrating guy at 12min34s with 2 eggs on his eyes made me laugh so hard ^^

  • 24HRS continually in a small tank? are you kidding me. and then seriously tough tests afterward!!

  • HA HA ....love they guy kicking the cat into the sealing....they didn't give a shit back in the day.

  • Wow- momentary impact of 49 G's with the simulated Murcury capsule splashdown? These historic films are awesome.

  • That guy at the end... His crotch was getting jackhammered X_X
