  • the intruduction with pierce brosnan(2 place)was the best

  • Sean Connery FTW

  • This list is crappy. I'm sorry but it is. You put R. Moore's and P.B. through away lines in some there stupidist moments in front of sir Sean Connery? And then you put Craig ( the 007 you say you love ) in one of the best Bond movies at the bottom of the list?

  • Naah, Pierce Brosnan's sucked.

  • connery is best by far

  • Hmmmm, I don't agree with your list but it was interesting!

  • haha, couldn't agree moore!

  • bullshit. Casino Royale's is the best. It's not corny at all, and the perfect ending to the movie that shows how the character became the emotionless shell we see in every other film.

  • 182 people don´t like saying their surname twice

  • Roger Moore!

  • Pierce is my fav but Danie comes close 2th

  • i loved Piers Brosnan as bond

  • Daniel Craig is a henchman. Nothing more.

  • i agree with the order 1-5. connery is very good but moore pauses in between 'bond' and 'james bond' perfectly....

  • Daniel Craig ruined The James Bond Movies get rid of him hes old and Blonde when has there ever been a BLONDE 007!

  • @aczblaze First blonde Bond was Moore, and in "A View To a Kill" he was 57.

  • There's no one like Roger Moore

  • Lazenby, Dalton and especially Craig suck

  • ice video, but i tink the best bond was Pierce Brosnan

  • Timothy Dalton rules, friends....

  • I like Timothy Dalton as Bond. Played it straight with a vulnerable side with no awful puns!

  • sean conery :!!

  • Sean Connery sold 100,000,000 cigarettes with that scene.

  • I think that every actor who played James Bond was good in their own unique way. Also, I think that Sean Connery's introduction should've been number one considering that he was the first Bond and that clip was from "Dr. No" the first film of the series. To each their own though. Simply classic.

  • lol at dalton bondjamesbond

  • for all those haters here is the bond ranking.

Sean Connery: because lets face it, he was and is awesome

Pierce Brosnan/ Daniel Craig: they both did well and Craig has only had 2 movies so hats off

Timothy Dalton: only had 2 movies sadly but was still great

Roger Moore: down here cause when he kissed girls it was like he was sucking on there whole mouth.

and George Lazenby: because sadly he only had a short career as James Bond, tho majesty secret service is one of my favorite

  • @rectortheo moore was too sexy

  • @chicksdigsme Moore was a piece of crap.

  • @rectortheo Here is the Bond ranking.

Connery, Craig, Dalton because they didn't suck.

Lazenby, Moore, Brosnan because they sucked.

Also, Craig is working on the next film, and has been offered a contract for another five after that.

  • Pierce Brosnan worst Bond EVER!! A skinny Chubby man he is!

  • Sorry but they were all good. Its just some scripts were better than others.

  • @MrBuglebuggy Nope. Brosnan was not good. Brosnan was a piece of shit.

  • @CorsetGirl91 dalton & brosnan are bonds for me rest is crap.moore is a real classy guy in real life man.too hot for ladies

  • @CorsetGirl91 Have the russkies invaded......

  • Sean and Pierce are the winners in this one.

  • I never thought Roger Moore fit the role... Connery and Craig are the best in my opinion.

  • i think there were better intros for all of them

  • But my favorite is Roger Moore! Couse he plays in the Funniest James Bond films!

  • I don't hate the new James Bonds. Daniel Craig is a good actor, but not the best! The best actor of James Bond is the one from Dr. No. And the Ian Fleming James Bonds are the best! But new ones are good to!

  • sometimes I wonder what Daniel Craig is really saying, what is it:

    Yimes Bond? Jaymes punt?

  • I wish people when comparing different Bond's would remember that the actor's are different to the writers and directors

  • I find it interesting that Pierce Brosnan's pronunciation of BOND sounds closer to the American pronunciation of "Bond"- James "B-AH-ND" over the British" B"UH"ND."

  • @Rodrickzx That's what you get from an Irishman! ;-)

  • Only James Bond can get trapped by a revolving wall, find himself in a room full of gangsters and start hitting on the first woman he sees.

  • craig and connery are the best. connery because he is the original, the classic. craig because he is definitely the closest to Ian Fleming's original. gritty, tough, none of the bullshit gadgets or endless boner jokes

  • What shit of selection! Ecaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

  • Connery out-Bonds the rest by exactly OO7 %

  • Daniel Craig is best actor for James Bond , THUMBS UP if u aggre

  • Sean connery's was definately the best. Him, Roger Moore, and Pierce Bronsan were my favourite Bonds'. Daniel Craig was shit

  • Im my honest opinion i think the sean connery introduction was the best by far

  • Comment removed

  • There will allways be different opinions and arguments about who "the best Bond" was, but I must say I like them all. Everybody added their style to the character, and did it well :-) I admit that never saw OHMSS, so I don`t know about Lazenby. Guess I gotta see that one day!

  • I know who you are, what you are, and what you came for Classic

  • I would rather punch a baby than post a video made by pointing a camera at a TV.

  • Right after #1, Mr. Big: "Names are for tombstones baby!"

  • Roger Moore is the best!

  • Interesting picks. Good to see Dalton's TLD in there.

    Mine would be

    001) Connery to Jill Masterson in GF

    002) Connery to Marie in DAF

    003) Connery to Sylvia Trench in DN

    004) Dalton to Linda in TLD

    005) Moore to Signor Lazar in TMWTGG

Honorable mention: Lazenby to Contessa Teresa in OHMSS and Moore to Prince Kamal Khan in OP

  • Funniest Bond moment on 0:21 lol

  • I'm going to change my name to james bond just for the fun of saying this :D

  • youtube video qualities:

  • Daniel Craig's introduction in Casino Royale is my definitive no. 1. The everlasting love of his life just died, he just learned the face of cruelty. He had finally become the agent we All know and love: Bond, James Bond.

  • No, Mr. 240p, I expect you to die.

  • James Bond is Pierce Brosnan

  • Respectfully I have to say that Sean Connery should be first.

  • Connery's FIRST ever introduction of himself should (deservingly so) be the number one best intro, man...whatdahecksamatterwitya...??? and that Brosnan one doesn't even belong here, let alone number 2 spot...!!!

  • Its ironic how Bond cant keep abond to any lady :I

  • Names is for Tombstones baby!!

  • My first Bond movie was with my dad, Live and Let Die...Your Opening sequence was awesome...one of those where you ALMOST forgot the fact that he had yet to introduce himself..then this comes along and bitch slaps you!!!

  • @LicklagerMtl This is great. I just introduced my son to 007 only a few days ago.

  • James Bond 240 :P

  • 3 should have been 1

  • For most people their 1st Bond is their favourite. If the 1st Bond film you ever saw was a Brosnan you are most likely to think he is best for example. My 1st Bond was Roger Moore & I love him, but I like them all for different reasons. I do however think that Pierce would have been the best Bond of all if the writing had of been better. He had a disadvantage of having no Cold War to base a story on.

  • No 1 spot on, all entitled to our opinion but for me Roger Moore was the best bond.

  • The name is p, 240p lol

  • number 1 are u kidding!!! I was praying that it would be in goldeneye where bond thumps that guy in the toilet cubicle

  • Ahh 240p, we meet again.

  • I watch James Bond every night when im in bed!

I wish there where more bond films before the 2000 era.

I love the old movies not the new ones.

  • @iHipHopIsNotDead

I definitely see where your coming from on most of the newer ones, but I think Casino Royale is definitely the best Bond movie to date.

  • I've always like David Niven but really can't see him as a convincing Bond.

  • I think they are all great, but my favorite is Sean Connery. I think Sean Connery, at least in the first couple of films plays Bond much as Fleming wrote him, particularly the Bond of the short stories. Fleming wanted David Niven to play Bond!! He came to realize how right Connery was for the role though. Dr. No is still my favorite Bond film. I also love all the Roger Moore films, especially Moonraker and Live and Let Die. The John Barry music in Moonraker is just awesome. Great memories!

  • @ironpirites Sorry to disappoint you, David Niven, who did play bond on 1967, was rejected to play Bond as Fleming did not like him. Niven was Harry Saltzman's choice, just as Carey Grant was Broccoli's choice. Peter Anthony, and Patrick McGoohan were Fleming's choices. You are correct in saying that Connery Grew on Fleming though Later Novels and short stories took much from Sean Connery's portrayal, even though Roger Moore left them out and played Bond as if he were still the Saint

  • Comment removed

  • I THINK CONNERY SHOULD BE RATED 1 AND NOT MOORE. REST ALL OK. BUT YOU KNOW OPINION IS LIKE AN ASSHOLE, EVERYONE HAS ONE. SO GREAT JOB

  • connery in dr no is by far the best

  • @rockykingman Uhh not at all you're the delusional one, but the the dumb ones always are. i could prove it but you're too dim to understand

  • Daniel Connery is the best bond

  • @rockykingman Yeah, i like quality in my bond movies, Crag is not quality, Crag is a disappointment and i;m sorry, Bond Deserves better. Oh and as for playing....

YOU are the WEAKEST LINK.. goodbye.

  • roger moore and sean connery were the most chilled bonds

  • YEHAA, Roger Moore on 1

  • we meet again 240p!

  • Honestly chap, "Dr. No" should be number one.

TWINE shouldn't be on the list at all. That one had everything to do with the way they chose to edit the scene and now years later, it just seems gimmicky.

  • I am a Bond fan and I have to say now looking back over 25 years that Thimoty Dalton was a unique, excellent bond.

  • @julienbencze

Who is this Thimoty Dalton you speak of?

  • @BonePanzer the number 4 starting at 0:55

  • @julienbencze Yes, but somehow the Dalton movies were more scarface-isch and less bond-ish. That being said, they are quite underrated.

  • I think no 1 should have been from the first 007 film.

  • Hey, FUCK ALL OF YOU WHO DISLIKE DANIEL CRAIG. Daniel is great at Bond, he brought something knew to the table and did a great job. Every 00 is different so back off.

    Yours Truly:

    00Evan

  • @MisterSanderson1 "he brought something knew to the table" *new*

  • Sean Connery!!!!

  • The best introduction made ever in a Bond film was never by Bond, but by 008 back 'home" masked as a clown and thru own British security to deliver whatever asked, and in that case was an egg. All so symbolic of what spies and its service to the risk of death must live by every agent. And without words but the blanc expression of a painted clown face, as spies must be, silent. No names. The dramatic of it, never better portrayed since Greeks theatre masks were invented.

  • id put sean connery as number 1 then roger moore because he puts a sense of humor into the role and connery is just so suave

  • I have to admit Connery is Bond for me, and breaking it down into introductions I don't know how you could have the original and (to me) greatest introduction from Dr. No as number 3. The second half of that scene solidify it to me as well. That scene is just all about the essence of Bond and the slow build with those wide shots leading into the casino just give me chills knowing we're about to get introduced to our mysterious protagonist.

  • Comment removed

  • Roger Moore by far, he has an unique clipped manner of speaking.

  • FOREVER sean connery!

  • do you have danish subtitles

  • SEAN CONNERY!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I loved Roger's introduction as bond; the music kicks in at the right moment, and it's almost smart arsey ahaha! Very nice indeed.

However, I think that Connery's is a close second, followed by Craig, Lazenby (who seems to be left out here ahaha,), Brosnan and then Daltons.

Don't get me wrong, I like them all, but Dalton's is rushed and Brosnan sounds kind of American, almost.

I love the requisite charm of my first too. <3

  • Daniel Craig sucks even harder than Lazenby. The Best Bonds 1. Dalton 2. Moore 3. Connery 4. Remington Steel (Brosnan). I know many will disagree with Dalton as number one but he was a no non-sense Bond and that is what I liked.

  • How could the no 4 guy be on the list. This is a stupid list. And Daniel Craig shouldn't even be on no 5. He deserved more than the no 5 spot.

  • @jobee83 you are probably younger than 25, in that case you never really knew James Bond. Daniel Craig shouldn't even be on the list. Sony screwed up James Bond, I agree with Brosnan for not going back to that commercialised franchise, it has sold out and I think Ian Flemming (if you know who that is) must be turning in his grave as a result of the state the Bond Franchise a fallen into.

  • @BKamron i agree with your thoughts even though really cannot stand your "best bond order"

  • I quite enjoyed it, although number 3 remains to be beaten as far as I am concerned, and I doubt it ever will. But I agree that Craig is the definite no 2.

  • Daniel Craig and Sean Connery were the best

  • In the Connery days everything was fresh and simple with entries easy to distinguish from others because of a major theme (Jamaica, Orient Express, Gold, Scuba, Japan, Alps, Diamonds) Plus there was the truly irreplaceable John Barry composing the music scores.

  • @joepesciscat Actually, it was crap editing, omissions for time, and improper succession and the need for a Big Star to play against Lazenby that hampered a great story. All if it was the studio's fault. ThunderBall, Gold Finger an YOLT Were taken out of sequence book wise so there had to be Canon Changes to OHMSS Hell, LALD is somewhere before OHMSS and Bond met Tracy In CR (in the book) But the Bond movies have always had a poor sense of continuity

Lazenby did great with what he had

  • craig looks like jeremy kyle

  • May I also say that Dalton was originally supposed to succeed Connery in the 60's But turned it down because he didn't feel he was old enough. He is the bond most like Bond in the books- Craig may have some bond traits but he is blonde, too short and has blue eyes so no, he is NOT bone IMO. Brosnan's bond was hampered by Political Correctness. He could never get away with what Connery did! women's groups wanted blood after Goldeneye! yes "progress" has taken James's Nuts! Craig still sux!

  • @joepesciscat Other bonds have had poor and nonsensical stories and even lousy directors -coughjohnglencough- and yet, somehow they were able to transcend the material and make it watchible... so yeah, i disagree

  • damn james bond is my on my top 1 best serie epic i like it

  • I disagree as i heavily dislike Craig as Bond. and i guess i've been proved right because low and behold there has not been this long of a delay in bond films since the Delay between Dalton and Brosnan- and NEVER a 5 year delay WITH THE SAME ACTOR PLAYING THE ROLE Face it, Craig SUCKS, I totally BLAME SONY for the ruin that the franchise has fallen into

but hey that;s just my personal opinion.

  • @KuroInuSama69 Well, you don´t seem to have really understood why the delays keep getting longer!

Now, the reason for this is that a franchise running over so many years like James Bond and furthermore almost in half a decade can´t automaticly satisfie both old and young. If you want to keep the bond franchise going on, you need to come up with new stuff, because the story WILL DIE out eventually. Now, I don´t think neither one of us wants that...ay?

  • @BestFilmproducer actually if the best they can come up with is Craig, then they need to let it die a respectable death. SONY wanted to get their hands on 007 so bad that they made the XXX movies and bought out MGM and proceeded to destroy its biggest franchise. The Craig Years are only the highest Grossing films because of financial Inflation. Put any of Connery's films (even NSNA) Against a Craig film and add it to the value of current money and they FAR exceed anything Craig can do, [cont]

  • @KuroInuSama69 [2] The main univers could have been maintained without Gutting Casino Royale, Quantam of Solace is not even a Bond Story, and there is YEARS of Original Fleming Material that could still be used "yes Octopussy had elements of Property of a Lady" but there is enough meat there for another new adventure with good writing. And "License Renewed" and "never send Flowers" by Gardner were great stories. When the independent Games are better, its time to throw in the towel. IMO

  • @KuroInuSama69 The reason why they haven't made another Bond film recently is because of the economy. Big studios are in trouble now. More and more independent films are winning at the box office and winning the awards. Can't wait to see what they do with Bond next.

  • @TheArthurRay Yeah, and yet the economy hasn't been a problem for other big budget flicks from SONY or other studios. It's an excuse Skyfall which is the official name of bond 23, was actually the name of the scrapped Game that was to come AFTER Nightfire. The story is Identical. And Further Proof that The Actor is the problem, In the Remake of golden Eye - one of the most profitable bond games mind you, Brosnan is replaced with Craig. Its sad, is what it is .

  • @KuroInuSama69 There are at least two more movies scheduled already...

  • @davidxssbb Skyfall is 23 (or in rebooted continuity 3) the next one after that has not been confirmed. It is just in Craig's contract. But if things keep going the way they are for the franchise, in terms of down time between films there will be another new Bond. More over Craig's latest movie is a filler flick meant to fulfill his contract with sony

  • @KuroInuSama69

Delay has nothing to do with Craig. Don't use excuses for the delay on him, because it more on the studio. Beside, the movie is back on track & he is returning. Thus, the franchise is going to be just fine. I find it laughable some act like him sucking is why the franchise is where it is. Umm....no, he made Bond better. I think he is the best Bond since Connery.

  • @NW1977 Ye, but then we agree! We both think Craig makes an awesome Bond :)

  • @BestFilmproducer You're both wrong.

The reason why the bond films take long to develope these days is because Ian Flemming is dead RIP. The older movies were based on his stories but he's been dead since Goldeneye. So, they came up with movies that were just garbage afterwards.. Like The world is not enough and that awful AWFUL halle berre-movie (forgot the name because I want to forget it.)

Anyway, Daniel Craig is a bit of a kitty cat, but I prefer those over the rubbish we've gotten lately.

  • @Zinodin Actually, you couldn't be more wrong. Ian Fleming Died in 1964. He died during the Production of Goldfinger. If you're gonna talk history, know your facts. Also, Every movie Since Thunderball was a composite of ALL Fleming's literary work involving Bond. Several films including Moonraker, and The Spy who loved me were not even Based on Fleming's Stories, Yes there were stories by those names, but those flicks were novelized AFTER they came out. Goldeneye was [c]

  • @KuroInuSama69 [/c] Great movie in a post Cold War - Feminist empowered World. As someone recently said. The magic of the bond movies was that they didn't take themselves seriously. whether it was Connery's Bond Slapping chicks on the can saying "man talk" or Lazenby's Bond breaking the fourth wall, or Brosnan's quips like " she always loved a good squeeze" Also, If you want to talk about bad scripts. Quantum of Solace Isn't even a Bond flick... - it was conceived as XXX III - [e]

  • @BestFilmproducer Craig is superb. He took the only direction left for a tiring movie character and totally rejuvenated it. Casino Royale is perhaps my favorite bond film.

  • @NW1977 Actually look at the proof, When ever there is a Bad Bond, there is a rather Long wait for a follow up movie- best case is the ouster of Dalton. but to a lesser extent, thou ouster of Lazenby. The sad thing being that Lazenby Is my fourth Favorite Bond. and OHMSS Is my third favorite Bond Movie.

Craig is nothing more than a thug in these movies. there is none of the devil may care/ caviler cockiness that Any Other bond brought. flat out, He's a snoozefest. he's wooden

  • @KuroInuSama69 Dude. More critics like his movie than even goldeneye. A delay? that's your excuse for it being bad. Look at rotten tomatoes. It's loved by nearly everybody. You are and other hard blooded bond freaks are alone with this hate. While other mild mannered bond and film fans accept his greatness. Delay? Seriously? Thats your reason? How about people saying it's bad as a reason that it's bad. You can't because it's just a small percentage of opinion

  • @SlyGlacier Are you really coming at me with critics? All major news outlets are controlled by Major film studios. I'll let you in on a little secret... FILM CRITICS OPINIONS ARE FOR SALE! If the "Parent" Company of your newspaper or TV Station Affiliate is Fox, Paramount, Universal, Disney, Or Viacom... and you BAD MOUTH their latest big budget flick you will soon find yourself UNEMPLOYED - Genius.....

  • @KuroInuSama69 Of course. Thats why Transformers is Loved by critics.... oh wait. At least the expendibles.....uhh nope. Its funny how this movie is the one that is being controlled by sales. And wow they must control alot of critics considering that 96% percent of them love this movie. The only other movies that get these ratings are oscar caliber or extremely well made animation. But I guess those are bought out too.

  • @SlyGlacier funny thing about statistics, without evidence you can pull them out of your ass. Yeah but you seem to like talking from yours so it doesn't surprise me. and if Craig's outings as bond are so wonderful, why has no one in the industry recognized them? Yeah but you keep on making up stuff.

Its funny now the the mgm / bankruptcy argument is dead you Craig lovers bring this crap up give it up he sucks and his movies are garbage

  • @KuroInuSama69 Go to rottentomatoes and search casino royale. The colaberation of all professional online critics and most newspaper ones. Look at other movies. It's one of the highest. People adore this movie. No one recognized him? Are you kidding. Since bond he has lead many movies. He has stared in 3 major movies just this year. Cowboys vs Aliens, Dream House, Girl with the Dragon Tattoe. Are you kidding? Who's pulling shit out their ass?

  • @SlyGlacier You are. First, learn to spell. the word is tattoo, not "tattoe." Second, yeah right "TGWTGT" is SUCH a GREAT movie that the Stieg Larsson Estate has come out against it, and it has been described as "a let down" and "full of short comings". And "Dream House" SUCKED! it was more like "Predictable Ending" Oh, one more thing "Rotten Tomatoes is HARDLY a "reliable" source of anything Flixter owns it... and Flixter itself is owned by WARNER BROS a major Film studio! Fuh, Genius >.>

  • @KuroInuSama69

Even if you think those movies sucked (I haven't seen any of them, so I don't have an opinion either way), they're still major studio releases.

People *do* know who Daniel Craig is.

  • @EuphrasieF Yeah People 'DO" know who Lindsay Lohan, Nicholas Cage, and Beyincee are.... no one ever said they could act. - and they have all been in MAJOR studio releases. - none of them are supposed to be Bond. The only thing i ever liked Craig in was Elizabeth... and he had minimal screen time there.

  • @KuroInuSama69

    Yeah, keep up the backpedaling.

Me, I'll be there when Craig's third outing as Bond hits theaters next November.

  • @EuphrasieF funny. how did i back pedal again? the only movie I liked DC in was a movie where he was little more than an extra.... someone is delusional and it ain't me

  • @KuroInuSama69 Dude. Biased. Is that why the matrix revolutions has a low score on rotten tomaotes, Because Warner Brothers is biased? How about Green Lantern. Thats also owned by warner bros. Look at its score. All of these compiled scores are from actual competent reviewers and the scores are not altered in any way shape or form. By the way dream house did get a bad score. Casino Royale is loved by everybody how actually enjoy a good movie.

  • @SlyGlacier Yeah, studio's pay for position on that site. Also, Box office and rental sales tend to dictate position on that site. but then again there is not convincing some people that "S*&! stinks until their noses are buried in it... and some heh still say it smells like roses .

  • @KuroInuSama69 Let's face it, James Bond was ruined the day the films took themselves seriously. It was at its peak when there was the cringey pun, 'man killed in bathtub with toaster "Shocking, very shocking." Then there was the tongue in cheek use of a gadget in the car to avoid capture. It began as a lighthearted and funny film and has now become Daniel craig with a heart as light as lead and a funny bone as razor sharp as jelly.

  • @mcrichierich You're the first person in this thread that i agree with

  • @KuroInuSama69 Yeah, you said it man! The delay is so long between the movies because Daniel Craig doesn't show up at rehearsals. Damn you, Craig!

  • @KuroInuSama69 Daniel brings a more gritty side to bond franchise, Pierce was the suave spy, Connery was the most professional, Being a spy isn't all about sipping on martinis and making love to beautiful women then discarding them, this new bond is closer to what Ian had in mind for the character, Casino Royale was a beautiful film, it wasn't making death glamorous nor was it glamorization the job of being a spy, it showed it was quite a grim profession, I think Daniel did well in this respect.

  • @ryakoasakora Read Fleming's books again, if you ever did. You's note that A) Fleming thought of Bond and characters (Like Vseper Lynd) Described him like the American composer, Howard Hoagland "Hoagy" Carmichae. Secondly, Fleming himself said of Bond, "I wanted the simplest, dullest, [man]... Exotic things would happen to and around him, but he would be a neutral figure—an anonymous, blunt instrument wielded by a government department" [c]

  • [c] And while he initially disliked Connery's portrayal, subsequent books written AFTER Dr No, were completely inspired by Connery, Including his familial Background. Also There is no way that Craig is more Gritty than Dalton, The man Fleming himself wanted to succeed Connery. And while Dalton brought bond into the 80's, his grit ultimately led to a 6 year hiatus. so yeah... Stop reading the Benson novels! Go back to Fleming or even Gardner, Women were always Tools used by a blunt instrument.

  • @KuroInuSama69 The movies are on hold because MGM has been in serious financial trouble. And said trouble is certainly not due to the box office receipts for Craig's Bond movies, which both brought in boatloads. The delay would be going on even if Connery, in his prime, was the current Bond.

I think Craig's all right, but I thought Quantum of Solace was far and away the worst Bond movie ever. Nobody could have made that Bourne knockoff worthwhile.

  • @melosebrainuhoh I am oh so sorry to disappoint you, but MGM Studios exists in name only. When Columbia Pictures/ AKA SONY Entertainment Group bought the MGM/ UA from Turner/ The MGM GROUP /WARNER They pretty much DISMANTLED IT. When they bough the studio the Broccoli''s and EON Were not on board, part of them COMING on board WITH Bone meant that MGM was alive in Name only. THERE ARE NO NEW MGM MOVIES. And Sony is in the process of removing the MGM Titles from Even CLASSIC movies [c]

  • @KuroInuSama69 [/c] for the most part, The only place one will even see the old MHM Lion is in on a Eon/Broccoli production / IE a BOND MOVIE- Even MGM interactive is a SONY property ans is slowly beginning the transition into that name. so yeah to suggest that SONY is in Financial Difficulty and that is the reason why there is a Delay is a fantasy. one the easily gullible can hold on to. oh and QOS sucked because its a cheap way to bring back SPECTRE.. its not a Bond Story!

  • @KuroInuSama69 Blargh blargh blargh. The fact remains that your initial assertion -- that the Bond series is in stasis because of the supposed awfulness of Craig -- is untrue, as his two Bond movies were each resounding box office successes. The studios don't care about your personal opinion, they just want movies to make tons of money. Craig's have.

  • @melosebrainuhoh oooh really snappy com back! and just so you know, convert the box office of a GOOD Bond flick, to today's money, and any bond film - even the worst ones, I.E MWTGG OHMSS or even NSNA all out perform Craig's box office, both domestically and internationally, and that's just box office, we won't talk about sales after box office. in the end, Crag sucks as bond - oh and the studios care about people like me why? I reference my post about the delays! [C]

  • [c] Studios want to recruit their investments, AND make a profit, Criag's movies only perform well in the Opening Week after that they drop like stones. Even License to Kill with it POOR Promotion and awful release did better post opening week than Royale and Solace. you are tight about one thing money talks. and once Craig's contract is up, let's see if he'll be Bond again i doubt he'll get a 4th or 5th movie. also real mature with the dismissal of my opinion, just cause i proved you wrong.

I agree with you on this. I own every Bond movie as I'm sure you do as well. Out of anyone that plays Bond, you need charm, wit, humor, intelligence, etc. Most of the former bonds had this. Connery is the best IMO, Moore had charm and humor, Lazenby was damn good(too bad he only played in one film), Brosnan had charm, wit, Dalton had the humor as well. I am glad I'm not the only one who dislikes Craig. I just think he is bland, has no accent, and just doesn't act like Bond.

  • @suny123boy1 Actually I have the first 23 bond films which does not include CR or QOS[but does Include The 1967 CR and NSNA and also also includes The Barry Nelson Version of CR ( he was the 1st James Bond) i actively refuse to own the "Sony" movies I mean if someone gives them to me as a gift, i won't turn them down but i seriously will not buy them - and i am a completeist. i like having full sets of things. so yeah...

I couldn't even sit through QOS The some made me sick so did CR's

  • @KuroInuSama69 Oh dear, clearly you know nothing about why Daniel Craig didn't make a film for a few years. MGM had a legal problem with the rights to make any more films. It also happened after Timothy Dalton's last film and caused him to retire from the role in fact. If you ever read the books you'd recognise his talents in the role.

  • @shakercoola on the contrary, Three things kept the "next" Bond film - which was supposed to be based on "Risco" and the "Hildebrand Rarity" - was shelved because Kevin Mcclory wanted to once again start his own Series of bond films with Columbia Pictures / Sony. MGM, (which was still part of Warner at the time) had the rights to Bond and several Marvel Properties, Including Spiderman. Several years in court, MGM was Awarded the rights to "all Things Bond" [c]

  • Which gave MGM The rights to distribute The 1967 version of Casino Royale Which was originally produced by Columbia Pictures. And for the first time put all the bond pictures under the distribution of Warner Bros /MGM it also dissolved McClory's rights to any bond merchandise. That is why Sony Started the Triple X Franchise, it was to compete with MGM's BOND but FAILED That is one of the reasons That SONY BOUGHT MGM When AOL/Time Warner Sold it Off Before Aol and Time Warner Split [c]

  • [c3] The other reasons that it too so long to make another was because of horrible box office. Released in the summer of 1989, this movie suffered in competition from other blockbusters, such as Batman, Indiana Jones 3, Lethal Weapon 2, The Abyss, Star Trek V: , Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and Ghostbusters II. Ever since, all Bond films have been released in either fall or winter. there was also a dispute between the British and american spelling of Licence and Poor promotion. [c]

  • [c4] Lastly, Dalton had moved on with his career and was tired of being typecast as Bond. - Remember he turned it down once in 1968 and again in 1971. He never really wanted to remain James bond, and Actually While he was the first choice to Play Bond in 1986, he refused again, If NBC hadn't picked up Brosnan's Option for another Season Of Remington Steele, Dalton would NEVER had been Bond. So maybe its YOU that knows NOTHING about Bond, Sir.

  • @KuroInuSama69 The delay is due to the recession. They almost went into bankruptcy. However Daniel Craig will be back as James Bond in 2012. You should read an Ian Fleming Bond novel, Craig is most like F
