I disagree with all of you assholes. If any of you are complaining because you are Minor Threat fans, then obviously an untrue fan of Ian. Ian Mackaye would appreciate the adaptation of the song. Minor Threat was a band that wanted to be listened to, not necessarily in a literal since, but they wanted to get a point across. Plus, this is a good song.

Alright, I'll actually try and be constructive about this. Minor Threat was a really positive hardcore band. Their impact was greatly strengthened because they were a group of people in a menacing underground society with a menacing sound who sang positive lyrics. Taking these positive lyrics and implementing them into a more positive sounding musical genre deflates alot of the impact. I'd suggest a more negative song or band for your next acoustic interpretation.

If you don't like this song: fair enough. But it's still easier to hide under the name rudo2323 or whatever and write something awful than to make your own version of this song or anything else for that matter.

I love the original but I couldn't get anyone I know to listen to it because they hate hardcore music. The only thing I did was to slow the song down and strenghten the melody lines slighgtly. If that's selling out or whatever, fine. But have some decency when you comment.

you're exactly right, lowdowndeeper! what makes Minor Threat probably the greatest hardcore band (well..let's not forget Black Flag, either!) was that their songs did indeed have catchy melodies. unlike a lot of other lesser talented bands where it really was just a lot of screaming. slowing Minor Threat's songs down and playing them acoustically shows us what tuneful compositions they really were - kinda like what happened with Nirvana Unplugged...
