@ondertussennl Hi, if you mean that you want to plug a mic into it instead of a guitar you can do that and you do not need a mic pre. The RP155 is a preamp. You would just need an XLR to 1/4 cable or adapter if you mic is the XLR out type. You can get some interesting vocal effects this way, or bypass the amp modeling and use the compression and reverb, etc.
thinking of getting this but what cable do you need to attach it to the amp or guitar? im new to the effects and pedals world of guitar playing but i want to give it a shot to make guitar playing more fun... any suggestions what i should get with this effect station (connected cables, or other effects) thanks
@BEYONDILIMIT Hi There, you just need a standard 1/4" guitar cable to connect it to your guitar or amp. You also can go out of it to headphones. This is a great unit and a good little box to experiment with. Can't go wrong for the price.
@eriwebnerr do you know how to overdub with this? i know how to get a basic loop but i was trying to add more over the loop session... also do you know if there are downloadable presets available?
@LukeGaulMusic Hi, there are 100 patches - 50 factory and 50 user - so I believe you have 50 patches to work with. I'm not sure if you can overwrite the factory patches. I no longer have the unit.
@jalvhe0197 They are both great units. It's hard to go wrong. The 155 is great because its so cheap and compact, but if you are considering the RP255 I would suggest the 355. That unit allows you to turn individual stomps effects (like distortion, modulations, delay) on and off, like a mini pedal board. This gives you more control over the patches and you still get the drum machine and looper. The drum machine is missing on the RP500 and I miss it.
@eriwebnerr wait if your making your own patches yooh can turn the drives and chorus on and off cant you,are you talking about preset patches you cant change.could you explain that a little better.im asuming in edit mode i would be able to turn drives chorus reverb ect on and off and in the pre set patches i wont be able to turn them on and off :)
@beakf1 Yes! Sorry for the confusion. You can go in and edit any patch any way you want. The "Effects Library" button however gives you quick access to a group of effects though. For example an effect library may have chorus and delay already setup so you can easily dial that tone in without editing the whole patch. Hope that makes sense.
@MrTHEGUITAROCK Absolutely. I think it's the best value for the money for any digital modelers on the market today. The tones are some of the best I've heard out a a digital unit and they are very versatile and easy to use!
hey i want to use this whit a mic, do i need to pre amp mi mice then??
