@Dmg017 I have training in Muay Thai and othe Martial Arts so I understand they look for technique and the same goes for Parkour dude. It takes Technique and heart to do what we do so why can't the two side just kill the beef because the real enemy is not each other but the fact that alot of us don't do anything to help others with it. That is why I want my own Movement School dedicated to bringing all styles together.

this is seriously the best thing that the human has come up with. tricking is original, it is freedom, its just you being you in a whole other level you never knew you had deep inside you. Tricking is just...love, freedom, expression, movement....the best thing about it...is that its just you and your creativity...that's all you need.

@NewTricksGeneration He made this video based on footage collected from the events that he personally went to, it could very well be that none of the people you mentioned attended those events. I thought he covered just about every aspect of tricking pretty well, it's not like he purposely ignored anyone. This video is about TRICKING, not individual trickers. I highly doubt that any of the trickers you mentioned are as upset as you are.
@NewTricksGeneration dude are you serious? all the footage taken was from Jacob's experience during the summer in 2010. This is not a tricking sampler or compilation. I can understand that he can't include everyone in the tricking community because he can't be everywhere at the same time. This is HIS documentary. You can't expect him to grab from other videos. You should appreciate the hard work that he put into this fine documentary.

Point of Martial Arts is improving and pushing yourself to the limits during all sorts of fights. These people just took break dncing, and extended their legs t make it look like "tricking". It doesn't actually improve their fighting skills. I am a professional muay thai kickboxer, and I can, for one, say that it'd be easier to knock them dry when they're "tricking" rather than actually maintaining their stance. No matter how fast you are, you can't dodge a punch or kick when you're on your head

Now there are AMAZING backyard trickers (meaning don't have martial arts background) but they just recently became popular, getting bigger names, etc. They weren’t there for the origin of this sport.
Interviewing them was also a great idea, some of them, but not all the ones you have in this video.
This documentary was missing some vital information, and people, that could have opened more eyes to others on the insights of this sport.
@NASKAbiter But the doco was about Jacob's year of travelling around to gatherings and interviewing and filming people and none of the people you mentioned went to the gatherings other than Chris D haha hopefully make on with those guys one day! it would be amazing!
Granted most of these people either were, or are naska competitors. But then again tricking is a martial arts based sport, and the best trickers have a martial arts background, and the backyard trickers has to see it originate from somewhere, i wonder where? martial artists possibly, if not deff.
Pakour/free running HAS tricks in it, but is NOT tricking.
Totally different sport, which takes numerous other skills to perform, hats off to you guys!

@NASKAbiter tricking has evolved into it's own sport now and has nothing to do with Naska haha I know people who have been tricking for 10 years plus and have never done martial arts or participated in NASKA. There's a lot of underground people who helped shape tricking in other parts of the world, not just America. You'd be surprised!
I didn't like this video at all. Nothing against Jacob, he's a great guy, decent film skills etc. But most of the people he chose to interview are not qualified/don't have the experience and the years behind them to say what they are saying. They know nothing about the "sport". Now im not bashing any of the back-yard trickers, or any of the sport karate professionals, but some of the total nonsense coming out of their mouths was mind-blowing.
This documentary maybe should have a warning, 'cause it actually contains a lot of tricking-scene humour, which people who are not THAT familiar with the scene can easily misunderstand...Dave C's and Bubba's statements were gold, too! I hope there will be more documentaries like this in the future...like for gatherings instead of doin' a regular sampler mixing actual tricking footage with those funny comments and more serious interviews!

I do agree the hating on Parcour etc. was better left out. I understand Trickers are frustrated tricking is compared so much with other sports like these. But they don't suck, there different.

i guess people still dont realize that jacob was on a strict budget doing this and this is his documentary. if he had the funds to connect with all the big names and travel more i truely believe he would have put more into it. but for what it is its a great documentary on tricking

I dont recall seeing some of todays best youth at all...., MICAH KARNS, JACOB PINTO, DONNY SHEEHAN...Jacob & Donovan both won Mike Chats XMA youth & Jeremy and Danny adult trick titles & Micah has won many battles, all of them have won world titles but dont get mentioned wow...Then the Kings of it all ANIS, DANNY, JEREMY ARE NOT IN ALSO...Im so confused at what you are thinking bro..please help all of us figure this out, also y create a rift with freerunning & parkour?!.At least GUTHRIE is in it

@NewTricksGeneration He made this video based on footage collected from the events that he personally went to, it could very well be that none of the people you mentioned attended those events. I thought he covered just about every aspect of tricking pretty well, it's not like he purposely ignored anyone. This video is about TRICKING, not individual trickers. I highly doubt that any of the trickers you mentioned are as upset as you are.

@NewTricksGeneration dude are you serious? all the footage taken was from Jacob's experience during the summer in 2010. This is not a tricking sampler or compilation. I can understand that he can't include everyone in the tricking community because he can't be everywhere at the same time. This is HIS documentary. You can't expect him to grab from other videos. You should appreciate the hard work that he put into this fine documentary.

Telling a story this BIG, especially with the title- "It's Called Tricking", means you have a responsibility to tell more than just your own point of view. 50 minutes is a long time! Theres no Micah, or Jacob, sure. But there is Sessh, Dave C, Dad, Towels and many many more. If you think theres something missing from this then you're just greedy or stupid. This is an absolute top notch documentary and your comment should not be spoiling the top spot.

Point of Martial Arts is improving and pushing yourself to the limits during all sorts of fights. These people just took break dncing, and extended their legs t make it look like "tricking". It doesn't actually improve their fighting skills. I am a professional muay thai kickboxer, and I can, for one, say that it'd be easier to knock them dry when they're "tricking" rather than actually maintaining their stance. No matter how fast you are, you can't dodge a punch or kick when you're on your head

Because there are so few of us and we get along so well! there's only a certain type of person who tricks so everyone gets along real well :) it's really great! If you go to a tricking gathering some random Tricker will just come up to you and give you a massive hug and introduce themselves. Take Scotty Skelton for example, nicest man alive! Trickers are long lost brothers :)

Now there are AMAZING backyard trickers (meaning don't have martial arts background) but they just recently became popular, getting bigger names, etc. They weren’t there for the origin of this sport.
Interviewing them was also a great idea, some of them, but not all the ones you have in this video.
This documentary was missing some vital information, and people, that could have opened more eyes to others on the insights of this sport.

Granted most of these people either were, or are naska competitors. But then again tricking is a martial arts based sport, and the best trickers have a martial arts background, and the backyard trickers has to see it originate from somewhere, i wonder where? martial artists possibly, if not deff.

Totally different sport, which takes numerous other skills to perform, hats off to you guys!

Some yes, they had every right to be a part of this documentary, and have all the credentials, and experience
As for the others, really? who are you, and what have you experienced but some injuries, 1-2 Naska championships, or just intellectually stupid beyond belief

@NASKAbiter tricking has evolved into it's own sport now and has nothing to do with Naska haha I know people who have been tricking for 10 years plus and have never done martial arts or participated in NASKA. There's a lot of underground people who helped shape tricking in other parts of the world, not just America. You'd be surprised!

I didn't like this video at all. Nothing against Jacob, he's a great guy, decent film skills etc. But most of the people he chose to interview are not qualified/don't have the experience and the years behind them to say what they are saying. They know nothing about the "sport". Now im not bashing any of the back-yard trickers, or any of the sport karate professionals, but some of the total nonsense coming out of their mouths was mind-blowing.

This documentary maybe should have a warning, 'cause it actually contains a lot of tricking-scene humour, which people who are not THAT familiar with the scene can easily misunderstand...Dave C's and Bubba's statements were gold, too! I hope there will be more documentaries like this in the future...like for gatherings instead of doin' a regular sampler mixing actual tricking footage with those funny comments and more serious interviews!

I do agree the hating on Parcour etc. was better left out. I understand Trickers are frustrated tricking is compared so much with other sports like these. But they don't suck, there different.
