  • Not fair.......

  • i want one but they arnt sold anymore. crap!

  • where can i get one

  • It no longer sell anymore in Aster. You need to find used one somewhere, sorry.

  • You do mean "steam locomotive" right? The train is what follows the engine or am I misinformed? Mountaineer 405-- nix the NYO&W 402!

  • Or you can call it "small steam locomotive" as well as "miniature engine" like that.

  • who was it made by? the parts? or did you make them or soemthing?

  • Aster Hobby USA is that one who made them. I didn't made something in them. Everything are ready for assembly and run.

  • Your friend better of paid you good money! lol

  • That's true! However, built it last and then there will be no longer paying me... :(

  • yeah, what I would do to get one of those! Anything that is or says Allegheny, I love dearly!

  • Those are awesome, i have so many questions! how do you control the steam, do you have to just kinda catch it as it comes by? Where can i get a kit at?

  • Control by the throttle on inside cab includes water gauge, pressure gauge and some valves for blower and general turbine. I building the H8 engine for my friend, so he knows where to find it.

  • I am also intrested in it. How much did it cost? Where can I buy one?

I am in love with Allegheny's.

  • Cost at $27,000 per kits. Aster Hobby USA SOLD-OUT all of H8 Allegheny - Sorry.

  • Control steam by watch in the cab, chase as it running and close throttle valve to stop runs, etc.. It's not that difficultly.

  • wow very nice, but just a question,I can pretty much tell its a retailer bought kit,but form wich company,Accucraft,Astermike?

  • From Aster Hobby USA but it SOLD-OUT. Sorry.

  • What were the numbers on the boxes meaning?? Parts??

  • These numbers are matched with the paper of instructions for assembled the engine.

  • So how long did it take you to construct this model???

  • It took me 2 to 3 days a week for 8 months to completed built a thousand parts all together to make H8 Allegheny in Bay Area, California. A man's older bro bought a $27,000 Kits from Washington D.C., so after H8 runs beautiful, packed it and send out to D.C. Thanks for your interested. Mitch

  • THAT MODEL IS JUST HUGE!!!! How could I ever afford that?? LOL!!!!

  • Yep - H8 is really a HUGE steam engine ever I built for Gauge 1. Price is skyrocket, though.

  • I'm also guessing that this model is HEAVY!!! How much does it way, approximately???

  • Approx. at 20 pounds as you can split tender off and lift it off the track by hands with no problem.

  • Yeah! Grin, my friend who can afford that for his pleasure and fun hobby ever he have it!! Worth to play it really!!!

  • Very nice....

  • Thanks
