  • will this work perfectly with rcf 312A speakers?! thank you.

  • @MrKorean30 These should work with any powered speakers. There's two outputs, one with the full signal and one omitting the lower frequency used by the sub so any other speakers should be fine :) E

  • pro audio company's never use powered speakers..Not Gemini not QSC not ANY powered speakers.. Wanna know why?? try using them outdoors at a decent size venue then get back with me... nuff said

  • @djfingersflores Hey, I see your point. There's lots of different sizes and types of gear, but I've been gigging all year with this one sub and a pair of 800w powered speakers and it's been plenty for the warehouse parties and parking lot gigs I pull. There's always a more powerful or more expensive piece of gear but this is a killer sub for the price and type of use for lots of people

  • @artgallerydj the only thing that really matters is if they work for you and you are satisfied with their performance . Im not a "brand hound" at all. Just because they are Gemini doesn't mean they wont sound good, peace out and Keep Rockin' the house DJ !

  • @djfingersflores RCF, powered speakers, 75% of the djs in my area use them, PRO dj companies. Try using RCF's outdoors at a decent sized venue and get back with me.

  • @DjRyBiz 90% of so called pro dj companies really don't understand how audio really works.. I've tried several different brands of powered speakers (RCF,JBL ect.) and I didn't like em' one bit when playing outdoors at a bigger venue.. Powered speakers were invented for the rookie dj who wants to setup and breakdown really quick and doesn't mind a harsh sounding speaker..But like i mentioned, if you really like the way they sound then its all good.. peace out yall!

  • @djfingersflores Tons of pro componies use powered. In my area all the pros use EONS and mackies, I use MAckies. Buy some powered speakers, then get back to me

  • @djfingersflores powered speakers are the way to go, real talk

  • PAs by no means are my area of audio expertise, but I am a BASSHEAD. I currently have two Behringer Truth 2030A monitors. I'm no producer or mixer I just like good clear loud music. For their size the monitors hold up pretty well in the bass arena, but I'm looking for something that get me some thunderous lows without sacrificing my clarity. Would you happen to know how well this one would perform in let's say a dorm room area. Also about how low will this sub respond?

  • I own the 18" one. I've had it for about a year and a half. Used it to run live sound for bands and I pushed too much kick drum to it one night and blew the speaker. I replaced the speaker with a $350 Eminence woofer!!! My Gemini kicks ass now! The only other issue I had was the power supply inside the cabinet has a very bad design. It's hanging inside the unit on a tiny welded piece of metal. Mine broke one day and the cords came loose. Other than that, this sub gives great bang for the buck!

  • Has anyone had issues with fuse constantly blowing out? Any issues at all? I am leaning toward buying them but, let's just say, Gemini does not have the best rep in the DJ world.

  • @wmthomas28 I haven't had any issues like that, or heard of anything like that. A couple factors affecting that might be the settings, sweep and volume, and the audio coming in. I have heard that a lot of hip-hop with square waveforms heavy on the low end can wreak havoc on speakers just because they try to make them do things that they're not really made to do. Any bad audio can be a factor, but if you see the overload light adjust the settings to bring it back into it's comfort zone.

  • @artgallerydj i think that my gemini gvx 18 is starting to give up on mi,i use it for small presentation events it clips at a very low volume it was not doing that befor i was thinking that it was my mixer i got a diffrent one and its doing the same thing. it makes like a static noise at times i checked all my cables but its not that any idea??

  • @thev10snake1 Hey man, sorry I didn't see or respond to your post earlier. Try contacting Gemini they have a full time customer service guy there and he should eb able to help assess what's up :) E

  • Hey Captain, that's a tricky question, there's always a balance between cost and performance. And, personal "oddities" affect that - for instance there isn't a handle that I can run a locking chain through when I travel with it, so for me that's an issue where it wouldn't be for someone else.. Plus the nice people at Gemini are my friends. With that being said I'd give it an 8-9 and - for the money - I would definitely recommend it.

  • @artgallerydj i just got my gemini gvx 18 powered sub, but when i have my mp3 playing, lets say some music with some bass not hard bass and it stops playing i have to turn the power off for a few secs and turn it back on i keep my volume at half and zero freq you think it might be defective

  • On a rate 1 to 10, what would u give this sub over all? 1 being the worst, and 10 being the best.... Thanks

  • gvx series speakers are very impressive

  • @artgallerydj just wondering on what settings you use this sub on? like how high and your crossover info?

  • Hey , Do you know the weight on these?. Thanks

  • @gomajeja 30 kilos

  • @josephdelrio there pretty sick! I used them on new years / I played techno and the punch was a really tight. In my opinion there way better if you play hip hop because of basslines and low and high drums there amazing for hip hop no doubt.

  • whats the impediance of the Gemini GVX-SUB12P?

  • i was thinking of purchasing one of these and maybe eventually two would u recommend them to compliment my behringer b215d's i play everything from hip hop to electro house to spanish music

  • I just ordered two of these for my new years dance. You should make a performance review on these :D you have the best review on youtube for sure.

  • @cedarcity123 i was thinking of getting some tell me wht u think of them
